    You say 1500 but if there were 40 people in front of you then it is 1460. Some will be sorting more than one ST so less than that. Plus all the others who queued yesterday or later today.

    Still a problem but as you said yourself not all 1500 will need sorting tomorrow because you saw some of them being sorted.

    You can't assume one ticket per person in the queue - however they don't have ten windows available solely for STs, because most are required to sell match tickets in the run-up to kick-off.
    I have allowed for people with friends in my calculation, there were more than 40 people in front of us in the queue.

    Even if it was, why leave sending them out until the last minute? Not everyone is sitting at home waiting for them to arrive - it might be nice to be able to plan ahead rather than wait in and sweat on something arriving. Not everyone can get to the Valley the day before or hours before kick off.

    Someone has cocked this up right royally.

    I have nowhere in my post said that 1500 people will all need sorting tomorrow. However the general point I am making is valid, that it may well take a lot longer than the club has allowed for tomorrow, even given what happens today.
    I mean (although I expected it) to queue for 51 minutes for one match ticket in a two minute transaction kind of tells it's own story doesn't it?

    The club needs to have people handing out the tickets to the queue tomorrow rather than the queue waiting to get to the front. If they are really only giving out paper tickets for this match only they will have to take the small risk of giving them to the wrong people rather than have an angry crowd waiting for hours.

    Yo let's maths this shiznit

    Let's say... 500 people will need their ST sorted. And that each person is sorting two, let's be generous, so 250 people in the queue.

    Let's say 40 people were in front of us, great, sweet, and it took us 50 minutes to get to the front of the queue and be served. 40x6 is 240 people, 6x50 is 300 minutes

    So for 240 people to be seen, that'd be five hours. Which, with a 10am opening... Hmm. Factor in that: 1) I've been really generous; 2) there will be people like me wanting to buy match day tickets as well as sort season tickets; and 3) I dunno lol some other stuff I haven't though of, I think there will still be problems Henners.

    EDIT: Okay so there could be seven windows open as Seth has just pointed out to me. Which means just under 2 and a half hours to sort it out, which is plenty of time, but that would also rely on everyone turning up at 10am or otherwise in good time, and there being the number of people I said, all of whom are sorting multiple tickets.

    Still could be problematic.

    Most people will turn up after 1.00pm and it will likely be chaotic.

    There's big enough queues on a normal match day, without up to 1,000 people needing to sort out their lack of a S/T. Plus we don't know how many others will be queing because they were sent the wrong S/T, someone else's etc.

    NB I'd very much like to know how Mandy calculates 1,500 didn't get their S/T.

    How could she possibly know, unless 1,500 people have contacted the ticket office.

    Also, it could be a greater number, as people on here, have said they are in non receipt & haven't contacted the club.

    Surely, the only way, they could calculate, 1500 hadn't been received, would be, because they knew they hadn't sent them ?

    Got mine at 7, very quiet but had to wait for tickets to be printed. Was quite nice in the sun but glad I was able to go tonight as don't think it will be so pleasant tomorrow.

    well its lucky I went down on Thursday cos they had lost my records and sold my seat to someone else so if you've got an isle seat143 in J block north upper row RR and your feeling quite pleased with your self....WRONG..

    This is a systemic failure on a massive scale. It needs to be investigated as such and remedied - No need to blame anyone just make sure there is no repeat.

    All I would have asked for was some honesty by the Club - an explanation and apology and a comprehensive plan to remedy it. Instead the Royal Mail has been slandered, the reaction has been piecemeal and grudging, I have been directly lied to by being told that the tickets were posted and inconvenienced by three phone calls (lasting in excess of an hour and a half) and an extra, and a frankly unwelcome, road journey halfway across Kent and back to collect something I paid for in March.

    My sympathy to anyone who has to collect today.
