Oh it isn't lack of content for me. I'm aware it'll take time for more to be added and appreciate that being the model of live service games. But some of the challenges have been absolutely infuriating so far. I'm a relatively experienced and capable player but things like the complete without being seen etc require so much RNG and so many attempts that it begins to feel like a chore rather than a game. Hitman WOA has occasional instances of this but the enjoyable content far outweighs the chores, especially when Freelancer landed. I think they'll just need to be willing to pivot and perhaps offer multiple ways of progressing through unlockables going forward to make going back more appealing on First Light.sam3110 said:
I think once they add some DLC and other stuff to it, it'll be even better. Hitman took a few years for IOI to fully flesh out. I agree the replayability isn't huge right now, I feel the challenges could be highlighted a bit more, and some of the game still feels a bit too linear and obvious (graffiti arrows in Aleph literally show you the way to go at times) but it's a very solid base to work from, and the visuals are absolutely stunning IMOliamhappe said:
Enjoyed the main game greatly, struggling to want to work through TacSim and replays of main game for completion. I loved Control's story and aesthetic but found combat annoying. Something about the high-pitched sound design of enemy attacks stressed me out. I couldn't get through it. It was like your phone alarm going off every two seconds.

It looks incredible. The level of detail is amazing. I love a lot of the elements they've brought across from RDR2 like the honour system and the options for interacting with NPCs and the environment. The new side games like improved racing
I will need to buy a new console - either a Series X or S. I didn't realise how much they've gone up by in the last few months. However, I never play my Xbox anymore, so justifying £700 for a new console for one game is really difficult. But if I go for a Series S am I going to miss out on the full experience due to the lesser graphics and processing power compared to the Series X?
The other issue is now having a child my time to play has greatly reduced. But this is probably the last game I'm ever going to buy, and one I've been waiting forever for, so do I just bite the bullet?
Why couldn't have this come out 5 years ago when I was single and lived alone?!

It looks like something that shouldn’t be around for another 10 years from now - it’s that far ahead of anything else we’ve seen.Probably the biggest video game in history before it’s even released based on global anticipation alone.1

If that’s what it looks like on a normal PS5, playing it on a pro on an 85 inch tv is going to be ridiculous, I can’t wait.1

I’m in my fifties now, so I don’t play video games that much any more. Also, I’m an offline gamer. I don’t play games online. It’s just not me. To me, GTA is the best game franchise there is.When Grand Theft Auto came out in the mid/late nineties, it was great. Irreverent, funny, offensive and fun to play. I was in my twenties. It blew my mind and I loved it.
They did a few tweaks, did the London games, did GTA 2, nothing special, but the graphics were a bit better. All normal game progression stuff.
Then GTA 3 came out. Oh my god. Absolutely incredible. The leap forward was insane. At the time, nobody had thought to combine the sandbox mission game like GTA 1 & 2 with an actually decent driving game. But this was it and it was still as fun and outrageous as ever.
A few more tweaks: Vice City was decent enough.Then came GTA San Andreas. What a game. A genuine classic.
An insanely large world compared to previous iterations, brilliantly written and awesome to play. The only game I’ve ever played more than twice. I genuinely say “Aw shit, here we go again” out loud when I get to this bit:

For me, the next few years were a bit meh. Maybe because it followed San Andreas. 5 years saw 7 more titles released. All the little extra games like Liberty City stories, Chinatown Wars, Ballad of Gay Tony etc had decent moments, but there was nothing great there. In amongst all of this, of course, was GTA IV. I really couldn’t get on with this one. It was ok, but that’s it.
Then there was a gap.
4 years and nothing released. GTA V was in production for what seemed like forever. Rockstar rebooted their Red Dead franchise in this time though, and it was good, so there were elements of the gameplay there, which scratched the itch a bit, I suppose. But then…
GTA V. No doubt about it, the wait was worth it to get a worthy successor to San Andreas. I guess they learned the lessons of 2004-2009 and realised they couldn’t cram loads of games in and retain the quality. Terrific game. 3 characters with separate storylines but also plenty of missions involving 2 or all three of them. Still irreverent. Still funny. Still great fun. I’d still say I enjoyed playing SA more, but this is a close second and the graphics are so much more advanced that it makes going back to SA feel seriously retro.
Off the back of this they did GTA online. I can’t comment on how good or bad this is because I don’t play it. I’m sure it’s great fun and all that, but I just don’t tend to play online.And that’s it. GTA V was released in 2013 and there’s been nothing apart from online extras since. Rockstar dipped back into the Red Dead universe again and gave us another sprawling epic that is essentially GTA in the old west, but no more GTA proper.Thirteen years. That’s a long time to wait for the next instalment. Finally, we get to see GTA VI. It’s no wonder everyone is so excited.
The trailers look amazing, so hopefully it’ll live up to expectations.3 -

If you have a good (fibre) internet connection you will probably be able to stream it on your current Xbox. I only have an Xbox One but still played next Gen games through streaming. I believe you need a Game Pass subscription. Some games will have a cloud icon, showing they can be played via Cloud Gaming. Then you just click 'Stream' and play them if they're in the game pass library, or buy them and then stream them. That's how I play Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, which is a next-gen exclusive.Ross said:

I should say, it's not yet clear if the new GTA will be streamable.1 -
Whilst the demo looked good, there were some things that looked a bit janky to me, some of the movement - getting into and out of the lift and the vehicles just seemed a bit off to me, plus the running back flip into the water near the end almost looked like AI, environments and character details looked really really good though.0

I’ve spent the last two years going back and replaying GTA 3 / Vice City / San Andreas and actually completing the story for the first time on them. It’s crazy that those games are 20+ years old, because they still hold up excellently.
Currently working my way through GTA 4, and will then do 5 before the new one comes out.1
