Wrong, but you're obviously excited at the thought that there might be.

Nearly love all of them. Johnnie's the extra special one.
  • Cant believe the highlights don't show Jackson's chance in the first half.

Through on goal but instead of shooting squares it...but gets intercepted
  • Fantastic result - well done lads, brilliant.

    Love Jacko to bits.

    Belgians out !

So buzzing with that great result. 3 points most important thing. Now hopefully start looking up the table. Results like this and Wednesday proves our league position really doesn't represent our league position.

    What does it represent then?
  • Impressed that THD's cross was with his weaker right foot
  • Great result and sounds like we deserved it. Feels good to be out of the bottom three.

  • Does anyone know why the brum fans were applauding after 21 or 22 minutes? I know it was the anniversary of the Birmingham bombing, but I thought that was an evening.
  • No Moussa today injured or just couldn't get into the 18?

Respect for the 21 people who died.
  • Charlton Athletic interim manager Karel Fraeye:
"Whether it is called interim or permanent will not effect me. The board make the decisions. We were aware that Birmingham struggle at home when they try to be dominant. Without playing defensively we tried to put together a good organisation.
"Our win over Sheffield Wednesday a fortnight ago gave us confidence to withstand some difficult moments. Both teams had their chances and we managed to take one when our skipper Johnnie Jackson scored.
"We know the qualities of our captain. He is a real leader and we get along really well. It was only his fifth game of the season and it was his third goal which makes him our leading goalscorer.
"The back-to-back wins are vital after that disastrous performance at Middlesbrough. No one wanted to be part of the dressing room. They were so down at that moment but after turning the corner against Sheffield Wednesday two weeks ago it gave us a huge boost not to be in the same situation again."

Whoever it is, it sounds like Birmingham were well scouted.

Terrific performance from a team rejuvenated after the Luzon fuck up .. Jackson .. what can you say .. terrific cross from Holmes - Dennis ..will Solly get back in ? .. Lookman .. how long can we keep him ?, better than Sterling already ? ((:>) .. Henderson, MOM .. kept us in the game early on .. I could go on but haven't got the time or patience to state the bleedin' obvious .. I'm in my Fort Dunlop, Birmingham, 10th floor hotel room, almost overlooking the huge Land Rover/Jaguar Castle Bromwich manufacturing facility with a BIG smile on my face .. if this winning/success streak continues .. all you miserable, long faced, want us to lose CAFC 'fans' might have to eat a large portion of Umble Pie .. or are y'all praying for failure ?

You know how to pick the glamorous places to stay
  • How did Morrison perform for Brum today?

How did Morrison perform for Brum today?

Wasn't a stand out had his hands full with the opposite attributes of the awkward BiG Mak and silky / tricky Lookman. If I was marking him did ok so 6/10. Got a good reception from us when his name was read out before the KO.
  • Permission to go off thread sir! Ademola Lookman - sign him up on a long term contract immediately. Or is he still to young?

    Ditto for THD.

lol .. you'd have to be here to experience it .. Brum aint London .. there is a LOT of high value manufacturing done around here in clean and modern environments .. BUT .. the Brum traffic is absolutely f***ing HORRENDOUS .. I enjoy my away days/weekends very much in the 'glamlorous' north and midlands .. but really I'd rather be in lovely Woolwich, Catford or even ... glamorous Bexleyheath or Dartford
.. (if you believe the last sentence .. lol .. you'll believe Anything ... have a nice weekend wherever you may be)

rather as he did for us .. wholehearted but vulnerable to pace and in the air .. still cant pass to save his life .. on today's ratings, Saar (gets better every game) (even though I cant spell his name) and the ever excellent/improving Bauer are a BIG improvement

He's wrong that it's the best bit, but some people on here want us to lose. It's clear as day they want us to lose so this interim manager isn't made permanent, despite some strong results.
Any chance Charlton supporters can enjoy the first away victory positively since a long time without backbiting ?
    Nope, not the Charlton way.

P.S it was the first away win this season.

    Class. Probably MOTM
  • Told my sister she cannot leave her husband for Jacko, he is already spoken for.
  • No Moussa today injured or just couldn't get into the 18?

his shirt was on a hook in the dressing room before the game. Clip shown on Twitter.

Sorry Guy, but it does tend to help if you scout the opposition from time to time. It's no wonder teams sussed us out towards the end of his tenure if we never put any thought into how they might play
  • 4th away game of the season for me - Derby, Forest, Peterbotough and now Brum - not a single defeat!!
  • Well played Charlton, Such a better team with Diarra in the middle. A massive well done too Jacko on 50 goals, Lookman sounded pretty good as well.
