  • Least it prepares us for Cousins and Gudmundsson to be sold to the highest first bidder in the summer
  • In my opinion he needs proper man management, obviously he hasn't got that yet but a player of his calibre is worth the next 20 belgians we have to go through until we find one manager that clicks.

I think the door will keep revolving at The Valley while these guys are in charge.
  • If we needed to cut the wage bill then get rid of Igor first, clear that he's never going to score for us again.
  • We could try appointing a decent man manager, someone with experience of a few different personalities in the dressing room, rather than a random Belgian coach already on the payroll. Might have helped.

I think the club made the wrong decision. But we have won 2 games back to back with out him. Heading towards the play offs Tony who .

They put down his behaviour at SL due to being homesick , clearly now that was not the case ..... The club statement very to the point no best wishes says it all

You can't have a bad apple in the squad no matter how good he is !!

find me where we have ever loaned a player out and said 'best of luck' or 'good wishes' etc. It's a loan, he's not leaving, at least not yet.

He is a frustrating player. All the ability in the world, but also not a great football brain. He isn’t a player for a struggling side, he just tries to do too much, but in a functioning side, he is a cut above. He is a maverick and unless we are getting big bucks for him, I suspect the club has forgotten how easy it is to lose a few key players and fall into the proverbial. A bit strange, seeing as a long memory is not required!

If it is good money, which will enable us to strengthen in the right places, it could be ok. But I just don’t have enough faith in the decisions the club makes!

  • Surely no one can think that we'll consistently score goals this season with Reza, Makienok, Lookman, Vaz Te and KAG
  • Only time will tell if this is a good or a bad decision. It doesn't make much sense to me though, he's one of the few players we have who's capable of winning a game alone, you don't get rid of those type of players when you're struggling, you just dont.

Good money Muttley? We apparently got 3.6 million for Joe Gomez, who looks as if he is England bound. If we are moving Tony Watt on for a problem at the club, do you really see KM negotiating a decent fee? Still, I suppose there is always a first time for everything.

    ?
On recent evidence,we don't appear to be struggling without him.

I dont know but I do know that with these players we have looked sharper, quicker and more of a threat than we have for the majority of the season.

I have it on good authority that underperforming argumentative and disaffected fans have been given enough chances and will now be loaned out to QPR.

I know we moan a lot , but please no......

They also look like they want to be here (maybe not Vaz Te as he's only just arrived). They also play as team players.

I think they would if he was fit.

But if he was fit he could play.

Not sure why you are so clear that Igor is never going to score for us again but Watt will.

  • Cheers Pete for the info

and even if we do get decent money for him what will we buy with it? Players like Watt don't come around very often, how many strikers have we had recently like Tony at his best? Can't remember one since Darren Bent.

Think you will find this move is about a player been moved out to avoid disruption to a dressing room that will be fighting for survival, quite a few of the younger player gravitate towards TW, and are falling under his influence, its all about a team ethic.

Worth reading into before so.e of you have a complete breakdown
  • At first I was surprised but, if I am honest, I wonder if he will be missed.

It's very safe to assume he is on a high wage and if that means a replacement or two then it's not a bad thing.

He doesn't fit in with our style of play. Whilst he is technically a better player than Reza - from what I saw against Sheff Weds Reza carries much more nuisance value.

He isn't the pacy sidekick Simon needs and, frankly, Simon is hugely important to us at moth ends of the pitch.

If, as was commonly rumoured, his attitude wasn't the greatest (and lets be honest it is plausible to think that given his body language) then maybe he was causing a bit of trouble. Maybe he's not a "team player" and this new look team is based on playing for each other and the team rather than individuality.

On his day he was breathtaking. Just not enough of those days. Good luck to him though - he could be a genuinely top class player if he can sort his head out.
  • I love the any excuse needed to beat the board with a stick, when someone who has stood up for what he believes in with the board and still puts out what seems th correct alternate view and people still can't read it

    Interesting view.

Hasn't scored in 2 months, is a whining sweaty sock who should have a pass rating and teamwork rating of 1 on football manager, has previous in falling out with people, and is rumoured to be on a fair whack too, I don't see the problem

whining sweaty sock?? Stay classy Sam.....
  • A strange saga, I guess the truth will come out eventually. He seemed to be one player who got on with Luzon, whereas all of Igor's good performances were under Peeters

I'm withholding final judgement until I see who we get in this week

That lot won't get 20 between them from now till the end of the season.

Want to be here only Cos no one wanted Reza is he here.

    Still we wait and see
