On the basis of him being difficult and not getting on with his team mates Derek Hales would have been loaned out/sold after 10 games. Killer being hard to manage was the reason he was sold to Charlton from Luton I think
lol at punches being thrown. What a load of rubbish. The club may want people to believe that to deflect fault from themselves but the only person he fell out with was Katrien.
What total rubbish ... He fell out with Luzon that's why he was dropped v QPR and has a real problem with accepting orders, was told on more then one occasion to stop posting pics of himself and fox playing golf every afternoon when his and the teams form was so bad , then the problems with a number of players led to Jackson and Euell telling KM to get rid
You do realise that given the way you conduct yourself on this forum and how many jokes you are the butt of, nothing you say has any credibility anymore?

I believe Killer was a right back at Luton, so had no real value. Converted to striker early in his time with us, probably due to his electric pace over 10/20 yards. His love of a pint meant he was never going to get up and down the pitch as a marauding full back. Sadly West Ham and Derby assumed if they passed to his feet with his back to goal, he would score. Second touch would be a red these days.

A right back ? Surely you cannot be serious.
Presumably, he was banging in all those goals for Dartford, so Luton bought him to play at right back.

4 thousand pounds If I remember correctly. Strange that many older fans are making the same comparison. I also remember the Hales signing as uncovering a flawed diamond, and so it transpired. I had the same feeling about Watt, but it seems we've decided to allow this flawed diamond to slip through our fingers.

Wiki says he scored one goal for Luton in 7. Pretty sure as a supporter at the time, his persona was enhanced by the fact we didn't buy him as a striker.

I don't recall any suggestion that he was anything other than a striker. The idea that he was a right back is hilarious considering how left footed he was. He was definitely released cheaply by Luton as a result of his suspect temperament. I don't recall any suggestion that this was a problem for team-mates, rather uncontrollable aggression on the field of play. Andy Nelson seemed to get him focussed and I think King Arthur Horsfield was a steadying influence, although as we all know he still had his red mist moments with oppo players. The business with Flanagan was not typical of his relationship with team-mates, rather an isolated event. However, it was an accident waiting to happen. When Hales left for his first division sojourn with Derby and West Ham, Flanagan was transformed from an unremarkable if skillful winger to a Centre Forward. His personality blossomed and he became a player of real presence, skill, confidence and goalscoring ability. This was enhanced by his successful spell in the North American Soccer League. He had to all intents and purposes replaced Hales. When Hales returned to Charlton I believe it put Flanagans nose out of joint. He was quoted in the press prior to the start of the season "If he thinks I'm going to be there just to tee his chances up for him he's got another think coming". This set the tone for the festering resentment that ultimately resulted in the Maidstone ruckus where Hales called him out for failing to pass to him in a better position and Flanagan telling him to f-off. Hales lashed out and Flanagan as I recall didn't throw a real punch, rather tried to avoid Hales landing.
I don't believe Derek Hales was a right back, either.
Now around the same time at Fulham and Luton, there was a prolific young centre forward who was converted from a fullback. His name ...... Malcolm MacDonald.

I see that nasty Tony Watt is not in the Cardiff Team for the FA Cup tie. Injured or have we denied them permission to play him. No point in that, as we are out of the Cup. So he is either being rested or coming back.

I suppose if Cardiff have made no decision, we would be mad to cup tie him. Then I'd presume there must be some discussion going on or gone on, as loan up this week.

Y
Unless he's off somewhere else. A club still in the cup. If hes coming back to us he won't be playing in the FA Cup until next season.

Or potentially going to another team who are still in the cup.
He's had a punch up with two Cardiff players but will be sold for £1.7m to Wolves next week
Or maybe not :-)
Or he's asked one or two of his team-mates who couldn't pass it ten yards to his feet, WTF they were doing playing at Championship level ? So Cardiff are sending him back.
Or when he's been criticised by his coach, who has only played and managed at Pub Team level, "How the f--k would you know what it's like playing in a Championship match". So Cardiff are sending him back.
I have to say I'm a bit surprised that everyone (on this thread and others) seems now to see Harriot as one of our best 11. He was very good against Forest, but he's going to have to reach those standards much more consistently than he ever has before to reach that status in my mind. I hope he does it, but one very good game would not put him in ahead of Lookman, Johann, TWWW etc for me.
He isn't but his game, when he decides to play it,is to go at defenders. our other players play in front of them, hence why we are so easy to play against. If he does what he did last season, he is a waste of space, but he was good against Forest and we don't have enough of that type of player.

P.S. I would never have shipped Killer out either!!
