It'll probably be 1Mill (undisclosed). Be a good deal for them even if they can only get an honest season out of him.
for how long is his CAFC contract ? .. I would have thought a million is a bit light .. but if the owner is desperate to get him off the books !!! .. who knows
Three and a half years. (signed in January)
well then .. if we play 'hard ball' more than a million could be squeezed out especially as Cardiff is desperate for promotion .. they have recalled Revell from his loan at Wigan, this is a symptom of their desperation, Le Fondre and Jones rarely last the full 90, any club looking for real success needs at least four robust strikers.. lastly, Cardiff is a wealthy club .. let's see the colour of their cash .. 3 million for Watt or find someone else
Le Fondre must be lucky to last any minutes for Cardiff at the moment as he's on loan @ Wolves
that's right .. it was at Wolves and not Cardiff that he scored a late winner against us having come on as a substitute .. I'm sure that y'all were there and also saw it
Given he has lamped at least a couple of senior players in the last few months he's well & truly burned his bridges so I don't think he's going to be coming back, unfortunately.
Where do you get this from ?
I've heard he's very difficult to manage/control, but I've not heard of him hitting senior players.
I was told (twice) at recent games that he had argued with other players to the point where he tried to throw punches, and had to be restrained, and this was the point at which Euell/Jackson had a meeting with KM. The outcome was that apparently a collective decision was made that his relationships with some were at a point beyond repair, hence suddenly shipping him out to Cardiff.
No idea on any more details and I'm obviously hearing this third-hand, but it was from a decent source with contacts within the club.
Well, it seems the guy is a dick after all so we are better off rid of him. Whichever assclown scouted him and did the due diligence on his character should be binned as well though.
I think he is being shipped out because Duchatlet is worried he might get sued by the new owner of standard liege for the dogey way in which we got him on a free. it was said he was on loan but then when the selling of standard happened he quickly drew up a new contract for watt to be at Charlton permanently. he thinks if I sell him and pay off standard they will accept it and no suing will take place.

When he first started here, going by social media, it seemed TW and JBG had a good relationship. If true about this fracas, I wonder what happened for things to stoop to the level that punches were apparently thrown.
Also I wonder if it was all TW's doing? I think we can all agree JBG has been nowhere as good as he was last season, and I wonder if he is 100% committed this year.

My money's on this being closer to the mark, although his status as an asset or not of Standard Liege at the time of the sale would be clear enough. I can't imagine any circumstances whereby Roland pays them unless it's contractual. That and recouping some cash to balance the books and fund Vaz Te's wages.

If there was any financial irregularities in Watts move to CAFC from Standard then Charlton shipping him out will have no impact on that irregularity whatsoever. In fact any fee obtained from Cardiff might actually go a long way to establishing how much Watt should have been worth at the point if his move to Charlton.
Watt was moved on because it was to difficult to keep him.
Despite all the issues behind the scenes I am still sad to see him playing for someone else, especially in the same league as us, although he won't be next season with the direction we are heading, maybe it will easier to accept if one of our strikers actually outscores him this season, I believe Watt has a two goal lead currently.
lol at punches being thrown. What a load of rubbish. The club may want people to believe that to deflect fault from themselves but the only person he fell out with was Katrien.

Watt starts his career at Airdree but, after impressing there, is snapped up for £100,000 by Celtic after just 15 games.
Lennon ships him out from Celtic to Lierse to allow him to grow up in an alternative environment and one where he won't be quite so much in the spot light.
At Lierse Watt has numerous bust ups with the manager, Stanley Menzo and is turfed out of training in Belgium after one such incident. He plays 17 times for the Club in total.
He then signs for SL but doesn't even last six months once again falling out with the coach there who has replaced the man who signed Watt, GL. Watt musters 14 appearances in total.
On to Charlton where things start well until GL disciplines him by leaving him out of the side and there are rumours of bust ups with some of the players here too. After eight goals at the Club that gave him his highest number of career appearances (35) he moves on loan to Cardiff.
At Cardiff Watt has an immediate impact and so far has contributed two goals in five starts.
So, just a week before his 22nd birthday, Watt is now at his sixth club. There is no doubting the skill but there are doubts about his temperament and most of all his judgement. Perhaps he should have listened more closely to the advice offered some four years ago by one of his former team mates, Jamie Stevenson, where it all started for him - at Airdree:
“I’d say to younger players like Tony to keep working hard and listening to the coaches and you can break through and become a first-team regular and fulfil your potential.”
But perhaps even more telling was Stevenson's assessment of Watt's playing style:
“Tony was the sort of striker who would beat five players and then do something stupid like try and chip the keeper from six yards out."
The difference is that too often he has tried to beat those five players but lost the ball and in areas that don't damage the opposition.
Please please please don't tell me Watt is young. He isn't. My 12 year old has more common sense and respect for those trying to coach him. He's old enough to understand between right and wrong. He's also old enough to work out what works and what doesn't work.
Perhaps, however, Watt will turn the corner and prove to the world that he can enjoy longevity and success at one Club. As a betting man I wouldn't bank on it. I would bank £1 million though. And that, sadly, is probably what RD will do with it. But then that's another argument.
If the rumours are true, and he is that "poisonous" and violent towards his colleagues then feck him and his poor attitude. He will no doubt eventually do the same at Cardiff, we are well rid of him if so, despite his occasionally glimpsed talent. Sometimes a business has to make a stand against a problem EMPLOYEE no matter how good they are, there is a bigger picture, and if Watt continues in this manner he will end up another wasted talent selling his story to the papers when he eventually ends up on a building site or as a postman.

People need to remember in jan we would have no need for old ton anyway.
We have super George coming back
Scarily I could see George coming back to the squad in January and probably playing.
He cant... His foreign loan doesnt end until the summer so despite Steaua cancelling the loan, the Romanian FA still hold his registration.. the English FA dont get it back until that original loan ends
dont know if its relevant or not or been mentioned but his instagram name has changed from tonywatt32 ( his number at charlton ), to tonywatt33 ( his number at cardiff), yesterday he put a photo up on him playing at cafc so could all be his idea of a wind up, but its quite simple if he doesnt want to play here then by all means go.

He changes his name all the time on there, before he was tw32 and he's only wearing 33 at Cardiff as 32 is taken and 33 is "32+1" ( that was also on his Instagram)
Considering the amount of 'sources' who have been supposedly blabbing about the fights that Watt was causing it really does surprise me that someone credible like Richard Cawley hasn't reported it.
But then again we do love a scapegoat - even if they aren't currently playing for us!

What total rubbish ... He fell out with Luzon that's why he was dropped v QPR and has a real problem with accepting orders, was told on more then one occasion to stop posting pics of himself and fox playing golf every afternoon when his and the teams form was so bad , then the problems with a number of players led to Jackson and Euell telling KM to get rid
You do realise that given the way you conduct yourself on this forum and how many jokes you are the butt of, nothing you say has any credibility anymore?

Seeing somebody a couple of times is enough methinks. By all accounts Meire is at the training ground often.
