They could absolutely win me back. Despite it all I actually don't care much about the owners of a football club and it's a sign of what a mess we're in that we're even talking about them. If they continued to invest in infrastructure, hired a decent manager, communicated honestly and effectively, showed they understand and the respect the nature of football fans and the history of the club, brought in players for more than just fattening up and selling on and at least tried to tilt towards the Prem then sure. But then this is the minimum you expect from owners and it's a tall order for them to make all this ground up.
My expectations aren't even that high; I'm not saying we have to splash millions to aim for promotion, I'm just asking that we sign players with the intent of making a fist of going up, and sign players to play for the club, rather than with a view to waving them off at a profit. I'm not asking that we hire a manager to take us to the Champions League, just that we appoint a manager based on a logical decision. Not all managers work out, and you can't legislate for it not working necessarily, but if they at least had a proper interview process, set out a sensible criteria - understanding of the English league, and if not that at the very least strong experience in player acquisition, tactics, promotion, scrapping in a physical league - then I could support the decision. If we got in Garry Monk for instance, he might fail, but at least the club would have hired someone who knows playing in every level of the Football League, has Premier League experience and is capable of working to a specific brief laid out by the club as well as recommending and integrating players for a system. If he fails he fails, but at least the ownership could say they had a plan when they did it rather than fobbing us off with bullshit about some footballing nobody being the 'right man' because some bloke who hasn't been to The Valley in over a year 'trusts him'. Katrien treats us like we want too much and we ask for the moon, but only three teams go up and you don't see all the other teams' fans raging at their board, because we can accept treading water and we can accept mediocrity as long as we feel money earned by the club is going back into the club, the club's legacy is retained, and we have some kind of connection with what's going on on the pitch. What we can't put up with is feeling the club is being slowly inched out of our grasp until it's just another faceless company.

Club has been a shambles since Curbs left. The ludicrous appointment of Dowie started it - RM has to take a lot of the blame not just the current owner.
For me the strategy they outlined is fine, providing they stick to it. Not fussed about spending loads in an attempt to go up. But i want us to be being competitive like Bournemouth or Watford were on a smallish budget selling the occasional player at their highest price, rather than conveyor belt sales at low prices.
However the imbeciles they have asked to carry out the task of achieving the strategy are the problem...
They also need an administrator that understands football so the CEO has to go (which sounds like a slogan they yell in the US). And the entire football side needs a total overhaul. Need a Director of Football, Chief Scout, Head Coach.
Do that and i don't care if the Owner never comes to a game again.
