Billy Davies should be a great appointment. Let's face it, if we wanted him as a Prem club to replace Curbs, it would be foolish to say otherwise. Interesting.

Come on chaps. You know there is some third rate Belgian chump waiting in the wings... another couple of weeks and it will be "We tried to find a British manager..."
Not having a go at you personally, but criteria used as a singular really gets my goat. Paninis as a plural and panini as a singular are almost as bad but at least that's a foreign word so there's some excuse for getting it wrong.

Personally I don't think Davies would have been a good enough choice to replace Curbs at the time but I'd have certainly chosen him over Dowie.
Not sure about Davies at all. He's been in management for 18 years and has spent 6 or 7 years of those unemployed. Hopefully he'll turn up for the interview pissed and punch Roly in the face.
Id prefer Davies to Adkins. Much more passion and guts about him. Adkins strikes me as being soft and dull and I worry how he would motivate and get the best out of a team that isnt full of the quality he inherited at Southampton.

Louise Taylor of The Guardian pointed to Davies' "paranoia", "self-destructive insecurities" and "obsession with conspiracy theories and old grudges" as the reasons behind his downfall, suggesting that he had "shattered" his reputation.[30] The Daily Telegraph's John Percy, who was one of a number of reporters who were "accused of being in league with his former employers" for questioning decisions Davies made, said that Davies was "destined for failure" because he was "obsessed" with conspiracies and hidden agendas. He pointed to the "huge funds" Davies was given to get Forest promoted and suggested that he "could have got away with" the "unsavoury" behaviour, had Forest been winning.[31] John Payne of The Metro said that Davies owed the Forest fans an apology for his behaviour after failing to acknowledge them at the end of the defeat to Derby and "insulted fans' intelligence" by refusing to answer straight questions on the rare occasion he gave press interviews.[32]
Been out of the game a while but the problem with him and every other manager is we need someone who is going to rebuild the club. Someone who will look at all levels of the club and get everyone pulling in one direction. And you just can't do that with the people running it at the moment.

Get him ... Watch it explode
What, did he finally return Murray's phone call.
"Hey Jimmy, is yer job offer still open, (soto voce) only I'm a wee bit desperate now"
Would certainly have Davies now.
