John Hughes might be worth a shout, just left Caley. Seems to have improved every side he has managed.

Didn't he fail quite badly with Hartlepool when he came South of the Border?
Most managers have failed at Hartlepool in recent years.

I think he was in a position like Riga. Damage had already been done.

    From Dr Ketts

"Former Celtic number two, John Collins, was also strongly linked a couple of weeks ago, but again, the trail appears to have cooled."

    So it is

    A Colin is Ketts

B Colin copies his "scoops" uncredited from Ketts

I accused Colin1961 of the same thing awhile back and he assured me he had a contact on the Charlton coaching staff

you can forget, in my opinion, Cotterill and Adkins because, having spoken to both, and with both out of work, we'd have appointed one of them by now if we were interested. Rosler is rumoured to be replacing Parky at Bradford. Of the others I think the only other potential is Davies with Nobby still in the wings.

Not expecting anyone for another couple of weeks, not because it is to be expected. But because those at the top are incredibly incompetent that it is their style.

How can a club take strides forward without a fecking manager?!

Correct. Every day without a manager impacts badly on our player recruitment.

The joke is on all of your moaners.

All the posts were filled weeks ago, in fact we've been paying our new manager for two months already.

The fragrant Katrien and the visionary genius Roland know more than all of you put together.

They and the new manager, DOF, scout, head of comms etc etc are sitting in the board room right now laughing at you all.

Why do you think Murray was successful with Curbishley & Gritt? Because he knew them. Every other decision he has been involved with was a bloody disaster until Powell comes on the scene. Why was Powell the right appointment at the time because he had ability and "we knew him" and he knew us.

Small point, but Murray would admit that he had limited influence over the appointment of Curbishley and Gritt in 1991 (as opposed to Gritt's dismissal in 1995, which was driven by Murray). He and Simons had only been on the board three months at the time of Lennie's departure. It was very likely Arnie Warren seeking to maximise his own influence, but Mike Norris was the dominant voice on the board at that time and it's certainly his argument that it was his idea.

Murray is very likely to be an advocate of Parkinson returning, should the latter become available.

What really gets me is that the only silver lining in us, realistically, having been down for some time now is that we've known what division we'd be in before many other teams and that gave us the opportunity to have a plan ready to execute straight away. We've completely frittered away that advantage to the extent that we don't even have the people at the club who can come up with the plan that we need to execute yet.

Where's Parky off to then? Surely they wouldn't sack him , he's done wonders there.

Was reading that the new owners want a change. He will get another job, and probably deserves a crack in the championship again.

I will not credit you with being close on this one.

IF you were right it would be Cotterill and Collins interest has evaporated on joining us.

What enjoyment do you get out of message board world btw?

Actually he had "made contact with Charlton coaching staff". There is now an injunction out.
