  • Jackson + Clark = £0 extra cost.

In the eyes of Meire and Roland that is a win win.

Remember Curbs and Gritty! That could work for us!
  • Rotherham given permission to speak to Alan Stubbs

Not sure we will get Neil Ardley Now I think he will want to have one more season with Wimbeldon ...
I don't see why everyone is unhappy with Jackson if we were championship team no way but div one having seen a number of games at this level , think it would be a perfect way to start in management ,and be successful but he needs someone above him like a Lennie or Russell Slade ,

Blimey. I nearly choked on my tea then!!
Why? Colin's predicted the death of Jackson's footballing career so many time on here and every time he's popped up with a match winning goal and a performance that's driven the whole team forward. Jackson quitting playing to become a manager means Colin can criticise his footballing ability without the bloke proving him wrong again. Jackpot.

Did you accidentally login under you bullshit WUM profile instead of your sensible comments profile?
  • I don't really get the Slade situation at Cardiff. Was he going to get the sack so took a DoF job there? He wouldn't move to our basket case to be in the same role, and he wouldn't be manager either. It's Head Coach or nothing with this mob. Can't see him taking that.

  • I'm delighted that they can't find a credible candidate. The Charlton name is toxic in the game and that is down to two people. Their chickens have come home to roost. I hope Jacko, if offered, turns it down as well. I want Nobby or another no mark to accelerate the day that Roland finally says goodbye. The aim of CARD was to make the regimes tenure untenable. It's working in so many ways. Keep up the pressure as its getting to them. We want our Charlton back.

So right in so many ways

This isn't especially aimed at you Large but six months ago people were on here saying that relegation to the third division was OK by them as long as the owners go. Are we now saying that CARD, or some of their supporters, are now targeting the 4th division?

If they don't go then is it the intention to prevent the club from being able to prevent relegation into non-league?

I'm only asking as, personally, I didn't want to be as low as we, currently, are. To think that fans are, deliberately, trying to bring about another relegation doesn't sit well with me!

I'd heard you were a nice girl and wouldn't let anyone near your bandwagon, let alone have them jumping on it.

I didn't want us to get relegated this season but we did. That wasn't down to the fans or CARD, it is solely down to Roland and Meire. CARD or fans didn't target League One, Roland and Meire did through their ineptitude. If we sink lower which is quite possible that too will solely be down to the past, present and most likely future incompantancies. Most Managers won't touch us, attracting players will be equally problematic and even recruiting Club staff will be difficult. The regime have brought this upon themselves. Protests will continue NOT with the aim of the Club getting relegated but with the aim of making life increasingly difficult for the Club to operate effectively with the sole aim of getting Roland to sell up and go home. To blame the fans is totally weird, only Roland is to blame.

Personally, if you said to me now that season 2017/18 you could either be in the Championship with Roland still in charge or in League Two with Roland having sold up then I'd gladly take the latter.
Unfortunately, it's quite likely to be the fourth division with Twoshits still holding the purse strings.
  • When fans caused the biggest game disruption, the team put on their best performances! It most likely disrupted our opponents even more. But over a season, it can't be ideal. But having these idiots in charge is far from ideal either. If JJ became manager, we can't say it would be good or bad, as we don't know how good a manager he would be. My fear is that Meire will use him as a puppet (ironically). I think he is too strong a character to allow that to happen, so it probably won't end well. I would imagine that JJs number two would be a key appointment if he did get the job! Duchatelet has to realise that his errors carry a financial penalty to fix and he isn't going to get Charlton back to the championship on the cheap. It will be more expensive than a lot of other clubs to achieve as some of it has to compensate for his uselessness.

We need a manager now more than ever , unless we are keeping the nucleous of last season's squad, as a major rebuilding takes more time than we have. When Powell made major changes, he later stressed how important it was that he made the bulk of them early. Failing to invest will cost more money in the long run as the club is not sustainable at its current level. As I have said before- League One presents a whole new world of possible obstacles/potential mistakes for Duchatelet and he seems to have started hitting them already - my money is on him hitting virtually every one! This is so crazy and undersatndable why no decent manager will touch us with a barge pole!
  • maybe we'll hear something today ?
  • Colin's got it all under control
Plus Belgium arent out of the Euro's yet

As about as much chance as Mandy Rice Davies' prediction that we still have a chance of staying up.
  • Hmmm

    Hard to disagree with that.
