Wouldnt mind Ben Turner (Cardiff) Simon Cox / Hal Robson-Kanu (Reading) from the above Championship list.

Bit surprised re Robson - Kanu. Can only think he let his contract run down.

Would have Bjorn Sigurdarson and Faurlin in a heartbeat if you could get them to drop down a level. We could do worse than Luke Varney at that level, same for Simeon Jackson.

We're probably looking a lists of released Rugby and Cricket players and won't realise until they turn up at training wearing scrum caps and cricket whites.

Whose being released by the Hungarian 2nd division ? More relevant

I can't believe we've let Rhys Williams slip through our fingers ... gutted

Let's wish Rhys Williams luck in Oz. I feel we really missed him during the run-in...

    Lewis kinsella son of Mark?

Nope his son is @ Walsall
Yeah, Liam, recently signed new two-year contract.

Liam Feeney now available on a free. Roland's masterplan is coming together!
  • Options
People, you are asking your time looking at the released list and throwing names out there. Surely we need to see who is out of contract at Roland's other teams first
  • Options
All names mentioned above are done so on past reputation. Most are busted flushes nearing the end of their careers. Simeon Jackson, Maynard... Last decent 5 years ago. We need experience but not some ex PL player with loads of cash and no hunger left drifting towards the end of their careers.

Very impressed with what I saw of Yamfan, but I won't rush to judgement just yet. My first impression was that he is slight in build, but reasonably robust. Covers the ground quickly, and with confidence, has good close control and some jiggery pokery, but I also thought he made good footballing decisions and put his attributes to effective use.
    It is early days though.

Very similar to Lookman from what I saw, albeit from the YouTube stream.

Our Academy continues to have a seemingly very solid scouting network. Wish they would share with the rest of the club....

Reading through again, Jose Baxter is available on a free. Definitely has the ability, would take him.

Wooton from Leeds has looked decent when I've seen him. Lee Lucas at Swansea was pretty highly rated at one point.

    No thanks to Baxter

"Sheffield United striker Jose Baxter, who was suspended twice in nine months, is one of 10 players released by the club.

In July 2015 he was suspended by the Football Association for failing an out-of-competition drugs test and then later banned by the club for an unspecified reason."

That's right, it's his terrible attitude. Couldn't remember if it was that or injuries. I thought it was injuries so I was leaning toward benefit of the doubt.

I do think it's nice to have a wild card sometimes, but we're better off trying to get Watt to stay and play.

If Russell Slade gets the job he will probably try and keep Watt as he tried to make his loan permanent at Cardiff .

Not that any transfers will be up to him.
