  • Imagine the report if it had been England though. Lucky not to concede early, poor defending at set pieces, poor delivery from corners, Pogba disappointing, fortunate late winner... etc. The UK press would have lapped up the negatives.

I thought the game wasn't bad, the winning goal was fantastic, and I agree with Tutt-Tutt that it was nice it meant so much to him.

    West Ham wont keep him!!

Absolutely not. He could probably take his pick of clubs.
He's just signed a 5 year contract extension and I've seen figures banded of £125-£150k a week. Going to take a lot of money to buy him.
How are WHU able to afford that kind of money per week exactly ?
'Cos next year if they finish 10th, they will trouser about £125m from Sky alone. That's without the shiny new bargain stadium and all the new fans buying Payet shirts - the income from that alone will probably pay his wages for a month vff.

Yeah but they have to share naming rights revenue

I saw on the BBC live text that Danny Mills (lol!) that the match last night was just like watching an England performance so the media are getting their sly digs in where they can.

It wont matter if we win 3-0, Dele Alli will slip and give away a silly corner and thats all they'll care about... "Win three nil but a better team would punish us for giving away set pieces like that" will be the headlines, its just getting plain boring from them now.

Its like the press all posted the comments about the team sheet in Lewington's hands... I mean to say; who's side are they bloody well on!!!
  • What do people think for the Albania game?

Could see them causing an upset.
  • Didn't Albania only qualify because of the riots caused by a drone at their match in Belgrade?

I don't know anything about them. What are they good at?

They were awarded a 3-0 win over Serbia which gave them the two points to finish ahead of Denmark... Nothing to say they wouldnt have won anyway though

Agreed... They're like all the other minnows in this Euros.

Yes the competition has been devalued by having more countries, yet all the small nations know they only need to win one game to potentially advance so because of that they'll all go for it.

Reckon there will be surprises from Albania / Iceland / even Northern Ireland because they've all qualified with ease (rather than rely on the Play-Offs like Hungary) so just dont know how they'll handle this big stage
  • Already prefer the simplicity of the BBC coverage.

If I was someone new to seeing France / Romania / Albania / Switzerland I wouldnt have had a clue last night watching ITV who was who.

On the other hand love the way the BBC for putting the team names in their colours, no effort needed

    Ha what do I know

    Another flappy keeper
  • Albania need to control their nerves

This could be a cricket score if they dont compose themselves
  • Did a Linesman seriously initially give Albania a throw in then?
  • Djourou is an accident waiting to happen
  • Not offering much so far, Albania.

It seems mad how a team can score just 7 goals in the qualifiers 5 of which were against Andorra and still make it to the euros.
  • What a chance
  • Great save. Albania surprisingly don't look that bad.
Can see a player getting sent of in this.

They are like Romania last night. Organised, committed but lack that final third.
  • Albania look quite good so far. Had them and Romania down as the weakest two teams potentially and both actually have some useful players.

    Good call!ha
  • Albania beat Portugal in qualifying so have something about them.

Ref is irritating me. Makes me realize the Hungarian bloke last night had an excellent game. Albanian's rolling around equally annoying.
  • Wish I did in play betting
  • Steve Brown defending
  • That sending off has killed it. Albania were right in it before that.
  • Not sure McDonalds offering player escorts is a well thought out advert given yesterday's allegations around De Gea.
  • Missed the start of this game. Watching the half time chat and just heard that two brothers are playing against each other in this game!

Granit and Taurant(?) Xhaka, the former Arsenals latest signing, I think they were born in Yugoslavia and moved to Switzerland at an early age
  • A lot of players seem to be losing their footing on this pitch.
