His role in the team if he plays will be to run after the guy who's got the ball for the opposition at a distance of three paces, and be official possession loser when he has it
If there's an actual scapegoat (which there shouldn't be) it'll be a player much more central to the first team, like Clarke or whoever's in goal. But I prefer people to support the players at the game. You can moan constructively about people who are plainly inadequate on here though!
Crofts may as well be the scapegoat, he'll be lucky to find himself on the bench. Will probably end up dissapearing like Mark Gower did a few years back.
