Would be interesting. Just been announced as part of the BBC team for Russia, Surely if he gets Derby job he would have to stop that
Not really... Be a free scouting mission for him
Really, How many world cup players could they get.
If I was a Derby fan I would be fumimg that our new manager was spending 5 weeks of the transfer window, reporting on matches for the BBC and not sorting our squad out

Don't forget Reza played in the last World Cup Paulie, some of the lower ranked nations will have Championship standard players
Got about 20 players from the Championship at the World Cup this year... Easy place to go looking for players this summer.
Also remember Feghouli signing for West Ham during Euro 2016 when Bilic was working as a pundit for ITV as they asked him about thr signing as was confirmed during one of the games he was covering

Would steer clear of Derby if I were him, all of the noises coming out of there, are of reduced budgets etc - sounds like the owner has been burnt one too often!
If Lampard had any sense, he'd get himself a coaching role miles out of the limelight and learn about the lower leagues there, as lets face it his experience of life outside the PL is zero.
Of course that is never going to happen, as all of the ex England players think that they have a divine right to manage at the top level, despite having no experience.
It must drive the likes of Eddie Howe, Sean Dyche and Neil Warnock potty to see these big name players walk into big jobs with no experience of the role.
Looks as though Shrewsbury are resigned to losing Paul Hurst as they're looking to get in the Livingston Manager
Good to see its new names being thrown about yet stick to the fact that getting a Scottish Manager down in the lower leagues can seriously bring its risks - Derek Adams (Plymouth) is one of the few I've known to be successful
Good luck to him, as a pundit too he's not one of those who has dithered over taking their first steps into Management
Big move for him. He has his A Licence I believe too. Always amazes me how they're allowed to do those so quickly when you're not even allowed to do Level 2 unless you coach a team regularly.
makes me laugh 3 year contract, derby bottom 12 finish ill be backing.
in addition to this will be backing cardiff and shrewsbury for relegation spots ( nothing personal - but manager gone )
I was gonna tip Shrewsbury to go, they're only 9/2 on Bet365 though, seems pretty stingy for the club that finished 3rd last season. Fleetwood to be relegated at 7/1 seems like a generous price for any side that's managed by Joey Barton.
Just read that Jody Morris (Chelsea U18s) will be his Assistant Manager
Thats a very inexperienced double act... I know we've just had Bowyer and Jackson yet the Championship is a lot harder than League One
Inexperienced at the top level yes but Morris has had a very successful time in charge of Chelsea's youth team. Although to be fair i guess with the players they have it's probably not that difficult to win things.
Wonder what Sol Campbell's thoughts are on Lampard getting the Derby job.

yeah 4/1 on skybet, for the 1st time in year charlton currently are not priced.
cardiff, shrewsbury, millwall relegation treble could be a shout
I expected Pocchetino to leave Tottenham this summer before he signed a new contract. Maybe all this was pre planned & will mean Spurs get more compensation if he goes to Real Madrid? I wouldn't rule it out. Levy is a very shrewd man!
Looking like Paul Heckingbottom to be sacked by Leeds.. they want a continental coach... step forward Mr Karel Fraeye
Like Thomas Christiansen?
- Hire a local manager - Replace him with an exciting continental coach, who will take you to the next level - Sack him when it all goes wrong. Bring in a local manager to sort it out
Laurent Blanc has leaped ahead of Maurizio Sarri in the race to replace Antonio Conte as Chelsea boss.
Former France and Paris Saint-Germain chief Blanc is now the new front runner for the role after the Blues developed cold feet over Sarri’s controversial past.
The Chelsea hierarchy have become aware of Sarri’s homophobic row with new Italy boss - and ex-Manchester City manager - Roberto Mancini.
Sarri, who left Napoli last week, clashed with then-Inter boss Mancini during a Coppa Italia tie last season.
A furious Mancini revealed afterwards: "The confrontation on the touchline? You have to ask Sarri about that.
“He is a racist. People like him do not belong in football. He used racist words.
“I stood up to ask about the five minutes being added on and Sarri shouted ‘poof’ and ‘faggot’ at me. I would be proud to be that if he is what’s considered a man.”
Chelsea have made zero tolerance of racism, sexism and homophobia a major club commitment in recent seasons.
That has seen interest in the 60-year-old Sarri cool and given Blanc the chance to rise up the list.

sacked a club legend & ex-player in Rowett & replaced by an ex Prem player who has never managed a club & wouldn't know the Championship if it bit him on his arse. I bet the Rams fans are pleased.
