Ridiculous decision because they dropped out of top 6 ….
Four wins in their last 15 games, not scored at home yet in 2025, think that’s more to do with it.
The fans have been unhappy for a while.
I'm not surprised this happened, Huddersfield were sliding out of promotion contention. Sacking Duff and putting an interim in charge is in a sense a risk free bet, if it works it's a masterstroke, if it doesn't then nothing has changed and they can make a permanent appointment in May.
The amount of sacking in Women's football over the last couple of weeks in the WSL and Championship indicate that just like the Men's game, high stakes and a results business and in Man city's case finishing 4th and not in the champions league would be deemed failure.
Chole Kelly having a fall out with Taylor and going to Arsenal on loan didn't help as well as the vastly talented Hemp being injured have impacted their season but they are only 1 point and played 1 game more than Arsenal who had a surprise defeat to Liverpool in the FA cup on Sunday.
Sacking a manager just before a League Cup final is a very Spursy thing to do.
So Man City though they'd try it out. 😉
I swear though the only (viable) reason Levy actually sacked Mourinho was because he didn't take the players into training (protesting the European Super League).
Scott Lindsey sacked by MK Dons. Should never have left Crawley...
MK Dons have become a bit of a mess after they capitulated in the Play-Offs last season - Three Managers in a single season is never a good look.
There have been some curious looking managerial moves this season in the EFL, with managers "trading down" for personal reasons, or because of clashes with owners.
Mike Williamson quit MK Dons to manage Carlisle in September, and was sacked in February, with Carlisle at the bottom. Lindsey quit L1 Crawley to take over at L2 Mk Dons in September, and was sacked in March with MKD in 17th. John Eustace quit Blackburn to take over at struggling Derby. Blackburn are currently 7th with a great chance of the playoffs, Derby are bottom and heading for L1.
I don't think that Blackburn will make the playoffs. They were on a downward curve before Eustace left, have only picked up 15 points from their last 16 matches and lost to Derby of all teams yesterday. Eustace left because he was made promises by the Blackburn owners that weren't going to be fulfilled and who also refused to extend his contract. He is guaranteed an income from three years regardless as to whether or not Derby are relegated too.
Derby beat Coventry tonight and are now just one point away from getting out of the relegation zone.
I'd completely missed the Neil Harris/Mark Bonner appointments at Cambridge - weird one, wonder if it's the first time ever club has reappointed both their previous managers, and on the same day.

Bonner is Director of Football at Cambridge now
Yes, I know that now.
They still brought their two previous managers back into the club on the same day.
Our ex player Miguel Lera now assistant at Bristol Rovers.
The two home games against Swindon spring to mind with Miguel Lera:
The boxing day match when we had 9 men for the whole of the 2nd half and Lera scored late on for CAFC to rescue a desmond. I will go to my grave believing that both CAFC players who received red cards that match were either morons or gamblers.
The Swindon play-off home match we managed to snatch defeat from the Jaws of victory over the two legs and Lera was involved in the Swindon goal after we were looking good and the game went to added time and pens where Nicky Bailey hit the spot kick into the fan in row Z 🤦🏼♂️

Llera has not signed a contract in BS7 but Bristol Live understands that there is certainly a decent possibility that, if the Spaniard proves to be a good fit, he could eventually be added as a permanent addition to Calderon's coaching staff.
So basically their Danny Hylton (without the playing obligation).
Crystal Palace sporting director (ok I know this isn't really a manager) Dougie Freedman will leave the club and is considering taking up a position in Saudi Arabia.

With the success of most of their signings I would say he had done a good job

Easy start for the new manager though, they face Chelsea, Chelsea, Chelsea and then Chelsea!
Nick Cushing, the previous manager who left for the New York City (men's) assistant gig, is back in interim charge.

Moron or gambler you decide.
