NTT20 did quite an interesting 5 mins on available managers with Championship experience in the last 5 years, it was not a pretty list
Yes, it's easy to sack managers  but unless someone decent is out there, it's a massive risk.

And Swansea will be competing with Boro, Norwich and Southampton.

South Wales born Nathan Jones is an early favorite for the soon to be vacant Swansea City manager's chair.

Swans bosses have been impressed by the former Luton boss's ability to build defensively strong sides on small budgets and believe that the lure of a return to his native land will be sufficient to prise him away from league 1 Charlton.

No comment was available from either club but we need to up our click rate.

    Boro can reappoint Michael Carrick
    Swansea can reappoint Russell Martin
Southampton can also reappoint Russell Martin
Norwich can reappoint David Wagner. Or go for former player Russell Martin

Norwich must be hoping Farke gets the push this International break by Leeds.

Once these 4 sort themselves out with a new manager it will mean 12 current championship managers have been appointed since June.

18 in this division haven't even been in charge for a year. Absolutely brutal league.

It's all about getting to the holy grail that is the PL and not slipping down a division in the process. The weight of expectation has increased this season principally because the Championship is so open and we won't be seeing a situation, as we did last year, where the top three clubs managed to get 292 points (if we discount Sheffield United's two point deduction) between them.

One suspects that it will be Coventry, Ipswich and then another dozen clubs in with a chance of making the play offs even with a dozen or so games to go. NJ's career record of only losing 28% in his managerial career (including those spells at Southampton and Stoke) proves, when he has the players buying into his way and style, he does get results.

Swansea City can confirm the club has parted ways with head coach Alan Sheehan.

Perhaps fans might be more forgiving if they felt their manager was actually trying to win a game of football rather than not lose it.

Derek Adams has been appointed as Plymouth's Director of Football. How long before he's in the dugout replacing Cleverly?

Alex Neale could be tempted by a bigger club - unless he is on a massive wage at the scum, which I doubt.

Wishful thinking to mess up the ‘wall. I like it.

I know there's no loyalty in football anymore and obviously manager's have a high turnover. But Rob Edwards leaving for Wolves to me seems a poor move. He can't ever complain about players forcing a move through as he's done it himself which will make him appear weak imo

Hopefully. Be one less team to compete against for survival

I can see the attraction for Edwards in terms of his personal life. His wife and family still live around there, it's "his" team etc. On field though, it looks like a certain relegation, so he's gambling that he'll be in charge long enough to lead a successful promotion campaign next season.

4 Championship sides without a permanent manager in November must be a record, or near to it.

While not good for football in general having so many managers sacked/departing, selfishly it's great for us having other sides now scrambling to find someone decent for remainder of the season.

Perhaps the transfer windows should apply to managers too!
  • David Hughes sacked at Newport county. Bottom of league 2.

3.5 year deal. You'll good odds of him still being there in the summer of 2029.

Doubt if there are any Championship managers who are currently still in post after 3 years. Probably not many EFL managers full stop.

Parky is the longest serving manager in the Championship but obviously spent most of that time outside. NJ is the fourth longest serving in the division
