Crazy , I feel for Howe with all the player sales that have gone there.1

Lewis Hall is linked with a move to Man U so that's another one probably going soon.Chris_from_Sidcup said:Jaissle has won the Asian champions league for the past two years.
Newcastle's problem isn't the manager though, it's the fact they're selling pretty much all of their best players. Isak, Gordon, Tonali and soon Bruno Guimaraes all gone in the last year. Not quite the wild spending that everyone expected when PIF took them over.0 -
Might put £5 on Newcastle to get relegated1
-
Call it now... Palace are doing shit with their new Manager from France - Relegation becomes likelyThey hire Eddie Howe, who leads them to a decade of prosperity and success4

Their support is still incredible, they took 3,400 down there for a midweek friendly.Bedsaddick said:They lost 4-1 to Bristol City last night as well . Not sure if that was a factor?2 -

Sack the England manager and replace him with Howe.
Wishful thinking btw.5 -
Would be a good signing that, they need to replace Shaw.Chris_from_Sidcup said:

Howe has a little break now, sits tight and waits for the first big name underperforming manager.
Him being out of work IMO immediately puts all the others under pressure2 -
And still hardly anyone has heard of him.Chris_from_Sidcup said:Jaissle has won the Asian champions league for the past two years.

The Saudi's have just promoted from within, like Chelsea did with Rosenior. I think Newcastle could be in serious trouble this year. They are selling off all their best players and don't seem to have anyone coming in.Bedsaddick said:

I don’t like PSR and the way it restricts teams from competing with the bigger teams, but because of their completely deluded fans, I’m enjoying what’s happening at Newcastle.0

Every time working managers look over their shoulders they will see the hovering almost ghostly face of Howe.1

They've spent over 100m this summer. Problem is that was on 4 players no one has ever heard of so it's hard to say how they will get on.RC_CAFC said:

All 18-20 year olds so even if it ends up being smart business if those players fulfill any potential they've got, you'd imagine they won't have much of an immediate impact.Chris_from_Sidcup said:

Jordan Henderson and Danny Wellbeck will have them challenging for the title.Chris_from_Sidcup said:

We missed out on them as players. Maybe we can have the Hayden Mullins Darren Purse managerial dream team.fenaddick said:Hayden Mullins appointed at Newport County

Up to 9 new managers in the PL now:North Lower Neil said:Wonder what the biggest number of new managers for the start of a season in the Premier League is?
Feels like a lot this time - Bournemouth, Chelsea, Palace, Fulham, Ipswich, Liverpool, Man City, at the least.
Carrick was only appointed in January and he's in the top half.
De Zerbi has done 7 games and he's 11th longest serving!
Considering Farke and Le Bris were promotions from the Championship in the season before last, I think there's only Arteta and Emery who were managing the same club in the Premier League in 2023-24.

Very low odds on Arsenal retaining the title.North Lower Neil said:

Nathan now 18th in the longest serving current managers in the 92 list but still has three former Charlton coaches above him in the rankings.2
