German FA will have their own sponsors that can't wait to work with him. Always found Klopp and the Red Bull empire a weird fit.iaitch said:Maybe as a national team manager he would rise above that?????I suspect there was a get out clause should the national team come calling. Werid thing International Management you never when a job would come up.Look at Jose Mourinho, probably would be better of at Portugal manager, then Madrid come calling and he is not available anymore. Klopp was set for Germany the minute he went to Red Bull.0 -

No, but probably for the best tbf2 -
He’s run out of teams with parachute payments to

Our much maligned ex player Andrew Crofts linking up again with De Zerbi at Spurs as his assistant.1

Eckert has been charged by the FA over Spygate. I'm amazed he's still in charge at Southampton, as surely he'll be found guilty and get some sort of ban. And how will the Southampton players be feeling about him now?1 -
He should be banned from managing any EFL club for a couple of years .killerandflash said:https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c93480l4ex7o

Jermaine Defoes leaves Woking after 4 months and just a fortnight before the start of the season
really bizarre timing. So he was manager for 6 games, had most of pre season and then “mutually leaves” now. Weird2 -

Gets a lot of stick but showed his human side with that poor lad up at Sunderland.Bedsaddick said:

York sack Stuart Maynard. Absolutely bizarre.4

Sacking a manager who got you 108 points to bring in a guy who got sacked from his last two jobs in league two is bizarre to say the least.
Could understand it if they were aiming high (i'd seen some rumours of Challinor) but Lindsey isn't exactly great. They'll have a good budget but i don't think Lindsey can/will do anything that Maynard couldn't have done.3 -
Crazy. And why now, just 2 weeks before the season starts.0
-
at one point yesterday there was a twitter post about Martin Jol joining York. I thought it was madness and then saw Scott Lindsay is there and think Jol wouldn't have been so bad
Very peculiar decision1 -

I still find this whole saga a bit odd. I’m inclined to wonder on a couple of things with this:killerandflash said:https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c93480l4ex7o

1) There were more than three cases. The idea that they only spied on Ipswich, Middlesbrough and *checks notes* Oxford (eh?) is risible.
2) It was more widespread than we think. Other clubs were probably doing it too. Maybe not all of them? Maybe not as much? Or maybe not so obviously? One reason for suspecting this is the fact only the three cases mentioned were held up as evidence. Another is that, Middlesbrough aside, no other club has really expressed any outrage. It just feels like other clubs decided to let Eckert and Southampton take the fall, step back out of sight and hope it all goes away.
I may be way off base here, but it does still seem very strange.1 -
Roberto Mancini has been appointed Italy manager for a second time - just a day after Andrea Pirlo ruled himself out of the running for the job and technical director Paolo Maldini resigned.
