Rosenior, within 2 years has gone from being sacked at Hull to manager of Chelsea

    It's a funny old game

Was going to happen at some point. Though I hate him (bit of banter I like to have with my Cheery Os mate) do appreciate Richie Wellens is getting named (Even it is below Carlos Corberan, Micheal Carrick and Gary O'Niel)

To be fair everyone thought that Hull sacking was utterly bizarre

Surely Rosenior is just in temporary charge until the summer? Once a big name becomes available, he'll be out the door.

But then all Chelsea managers are in temporary charge anyway...

Rosenior confirmed. I actually think this could be a better appointment than most, he plays how the owners want and develops young players. And it's great to see a British coach given a shot at a big job early in his career

Acun Ilicali wanted attacking football apprently 🤷🏼‍♂️

To think if he'd of kept him it would be him getting the bucks from Chelsea and not Strasboug.

All they want is a ‘yes’ man.

  • 5 & a half year deal is madness.

Will probably be sacked within a year

Please make this happen.  Only one relegation spot left then (after he got Birmingham then Plymouth relegated)

    Please please please.

Apart from relegating Oxford, it would also get him off Match of the Day.

Wasn't Brady approached by us pre Appleton but signed a new deal at Northampton then?

How in charge will he be?

Board to Rosenior 'weve bought you these players and like you to play in this formation'.

There were certainly links, think around the same time as Dave Challinor, as Brady and Rodwell played at Rushden & Diamonds together

Depends on your perspective but the owners and model are the same. He played the same shape, developed youth players, even had an equivalent amount of passes per match as Chelsea. He’s a company man and it’s landed him one of the biggest jobs in British football

The length of contract probably more to do with being part of a multi football club consortium. He has been parachute in from a club owned by the same group who own Chelsea.
So as DuchLet did, they can move coaches around the clubs as required

But he's had to tow the line and dance to the owners tune, in my book that's not really in charge.

That's my perspective, let's agree to disagree and leave it at that.

  • Whilst i don't care much for Chelsea i actually hope that Rosenior does well there (after Saturday). Whenever he used to be a pundit on tv i always felt he came across really well and for me it'll be a good thing if a young English manager does well at a big club. Let's face it, it's not exactly often that English managers are in charge at the big clubs.

People can argue that he's not qualified for the role but at least he's managed teams before. How qualified was Arteta when he got the Arsenal job?
