As a "boycotter", who has not seen a home game this season and only two away games, I have no view on the competence or otherwise of KR.
I do not understand the complete divergence of views on KR. On here, the universal views are that he is not competent with some views bordering on rabid comments. Yet on Saturday away at Peterborough, the normal managerial chant ("Robinsons Red and White Army") was extremely vocal.
Why does such divergance occur? Is this site getting toxic? Note; a genuine question (before a moderator on here tells me once again to f**k off) for daring to give an opinion.
On Tuesday, at Blackpool, the faithful few started by singing "Robinson's Red Army" to try to encourage the team, but by the end were singing "we want our money back" so don't think it's any great love of KR, just an attempt to get someone on the pitch make an effort! Sadly it didn't work.
If he explains things to the players in the same way he does to the press is it any surprise when they play like they have no clue what they are supposed to be doing? Somebody call Mike Bassett for a translation........
Obvious it's all total bollocks. I can't be bothered to dissect it line-by-line. The bloke's a complete idiot. What does this even mean:
“You’d love to change it to chase a game with ten or 15 minutes to go, but people will say ‘bring Nicky on’ but we’ve brought Nicky on and not much has changed. He still needs to get fit.
He’s barely played any football this season. Tactically, I very rarely get many things wrong in relation to that."
So you're saying that tactically you very rarely play someone who's not fit. That doesn't make sense. Tactics and player fitness are two separate things, both of which you fall short on. And putting that aside, Ajose's been back for weeks and weeks - you're his manager, get him fit.
This guy is really getting on my wick. In the name of sanity, just stop talking!

This is like therapy for you Mr L, all this ranting over KR is taking your mind off South Eastern Railways.
"Zyro isnt really a striker so cant play in a 4-4-2"
And yet he started him as the striker in a 4-2-3-1? Surely if you arent really a striker it would be EASIER to play in a 4-4-2 because you are sharing that striking role responsility with A N Other?

Talks such a load of gash at time that man.
Exactly... Plus wasnt Magennis taken off for Zyro so if the latter isnt a Striker it means that when we were 2-0 down against Peterborough on Saturday, we were effectively chasing the game without a Striker on the pitch!!
This guy has totally lost the plot. Even Fraeye never came out with such gibberish. No Chief Exec, no finance manager, the remaining board member is apparently away and we have a manager who is completely out of his depth. All we have is some indians and no chiefs. We're doomed.

Mike, this is most certainly not therapeutic.
Since boarding the late-running, short-formed 7.57 from St Johns on Tuesday morning, I've had to endure three Karl Robinson press conferences, two standard, slightly delayed over-crowded journeys to and from work, one South Eastern uber-shambles due to a fractured rail and, to cap it all off, a piss poor 1-0 defeat at Blackpool that was bad enough when I stopped following it with 10 minutes to go, but even worse when I sat down later to read Karl's latest excuse-athon and found out that we'd lost.
My eyes are permanently bloodshot, I've got a complexion similar to a Scotsman returning from a two week break in the Sahara Desert and you can see the bones poking out of my knuckles due to the amount of trains I've punched this week.
I dread to think what state I'd be in if I didn't have my signed Chris Powell photo to pray to every morning and evening.
He has accepted blame for last night. Now those who have been asking for him to accept blame should be happy on that front.
He said he accepted the blame then started waffling on about injuries. Let's not forget he had Marshall Sarr Aribo and Ajose on the bench. I'm sure any of those would walk into Pool 1st IX.

You forgot two assistant head coaches who had no experience prior to this season. And the sandwich maker.
KR, for heavens sake please, please someone stop him talking. Please can he just keep his own counsel for 5 minutes?
Every utterance just undermines the club and the clubhouse.
Surely across Robinson, Bowyer, Jackson, Euell, Avory with the likes of Pearce, Amos and Solly there is enough nous to put a gameplan together to restore some credibility to the clubhouse.
The club is on the edge of falling apart. Simply defending the reasons for the actions of the past, and the pursuit of the same tactics offers what exactly? They have failed everyone for most of the past 20 games - nigh on half a season.
The words and explanations sound like a drowning man desperately wanting someone to throw him a float. I have news, there appears to be no one on the horizon, in the short term at least.
There is no value to making yourself accountable if you then don't take the actions such accountability demands.
Either you can lead the clubhouse for the rest of the season or you cannot. If you cannot lead it in a different direction then have the decency to walk away. This posturing serves no one - least of all the club.
There are 11 games to play.
If you have to play 3 at the back with Konsa, Bauer, Sarr, with Lennon on the bench because you have no full backs - do it.
If you have to play 5 in midfield to protect your three do it. If you have to play Marshall as a right wing back - do it. If you have play Djiksteel and Aribo to provide the legs in midfield alongside Forster Caskey and Reeves or Fosu do it. If you need to blood a new young full back bring in Mascoli, or if he is fit bring back Edwards. It is time for the next man up. If you need Diarra for 45 minutes get him a contract and put him on the bench
Then actually play two up front. If Ajose and Zyro have not the legs for 90 minutes play one for 45min or 60 minutes. Bring back Ahearne Grant if you can, play Hackett Fairchild, Umerah.
There is a campaign of 11 games to be fought. What is there to lose? Go for it, change the script, lift the spirits, build some positivity, build some energy, build some momentum not by words but by actions. I really do not care if we have a lightweight squad. Every player has a personal battle to win.
I do not care if we set out for 11 draws and hope to steal 2 or 3 wins. No matter the owner, no matter the departed or absent executive the shirt has to mean something. If for nothing else but the 264 who travelled to Blackpool or for the group of fellow professionals that the clubhouse constitutes.
If these apologies and words are to mean anything they have to be translated into actions. I respect many are concerned about their futures but how better to secure your future than in the face of adversity. At least you and everybody will know you have gone out and given of your best.
So why sign two more wingers in January and loan out Ahearne-Grant then??? - Instead he played KAG as a Winger too and got nothing out of him... KAG goes to Crawley, plays as a Striker and scores goals!!
This was always going to happen, it’s ridiculously inevitable and predictable.
The funny thing is, Robinson said in that November meet at Bromley Addicks how it is important for KAG to get back to what he is good at and that’s playing as a striker and scoring goals. Yet he continued to play him wide, refuses to change to two up front, KAG goes out on loan (he needed this run even if we could do with him back) and as you said, scores goals by playing up front.
We also do have Ajose who has been back with us for 2 months, if he is not fit enough to be playing even 60 minutes alongside Magennis, that is ridiculous. But I think we all know that’s not the case and right now, Robinson is saying anything he can to deflect it away from his blame and responsibility, even when he says it falls down to him.
Am I the only one that has considered that Grapevine49 has a split personality disorder and when he is happy he is Grapevine49, but when he is sad he is Viewfinder...?
I consider it every day. Sometimes I try and offer balance and other times people really piss me off. You should see the drafts I delete!
You always provide fantastically balanced and well thought out posts. Often sum up so eloquently what many of us think and feel.
Hence my post about the split personality as Viewfinder has some weird and wonderful ways of expressing his discontent towards what he sees through his lenses.

Exactly - what you are suggesting may not work, but if what you are currently doing isn't working you have to try something else. Surely this is not too hard to grasp. If he tried to get the best out of what he had and recognised how we have been sussed out at home in particular, he would realise he has to do something different. But that is why my backing for him has totally gone. I can see how easy it is to stop us, I can see Magennis (who I rate highly) being totally isolated and every week it is the same old, same old. TRY SOMETHING ELSE YOU COMPLETE TOOL FFS!!!!!!

Take a breath before you post in future, please.
Thanks.
No leadership, no teamwork, no organisation.
What's that say about you Karl?
