If there was someone running the club, surely they would sack Robinson for doing this.
Hopefully this is whats stopping him from getting a job, even when he's sacked by Charlton... and that clubs wont want to know because they dont want a Manager who might do the same one day to them!!
He'd be first to slag off the likes of Fosu if they started to do this and is even more criminal coming from the Manager!!
To be honest I’m past caring. We couldn’t do worse with no manager in place.
With no reporting line, no CEO, no CFO, Big Tone as COO, and an absent owner, the role of manager is virtually worthless anyway.
Oh I want him gone too.
I just hope that this attitude from him damages his reputation and struggles after leaving

I wouldn't wish him badly.
It's been a rough ride for him. He just hasn't helped himself with his tactical inflexibility and loose tongue.
Oggy is right. It's been a rough ride but starting the season with no decent goalscorer was just asking for trouble.
Trying to read the lines, something definitely went awry as the summer window drew to a close. Maybe as simple as having the rug pulled from under his feet?
Firstly, Robinson set his stall out to re-sign Mavididi on loan, but weeks later eventually lost out when he went to Preston.
He was also desperate to sign Will Grigg (so we were lead to believe) and waited and waited patiently. And in the event that wasn't going to happen, there was to be the Stevenage striker Steve Godden lined up.
Neither of those happened - firstly, the Wigan manager didn't want to let his striker go to a promotion rival and then rarely played him. Then Godden was a 'done deal' but that never happened, supposedly because their Chairman upped the price by £300k at the last minute - and dear old Uncle Roly wasn't having that.
Even though Novak wasn't happy here, logically he was only let go because the management thought they had Godden in the bag.
Hence the last minute panic signing of Jo Dodoo - who even though Robinson (like us) had never heard of him, he was at Rangers so surely had something to offer the Third Division? Robinson must have hoped he'd signed someone who could play the 'Mavididi role'.
Of course, what I've just written could all be b*ll*x
Oggy is right. It's been a rough ride but starting the season with no decent goalscorer was just asking for trouble.
But if you don't have one you adapt and find a way to get results. Parkinson managed it, nearly won automatic promotion. Instead Robinson sticks with his plan and tries to make it work.
Should Robinson disappear this week for whatever reason who is going to appoint someone to take control of team affairs ? I’m guessing it will be Richard Murray ? I hope he still has Alan Curbishleys telephone number and is not too big to give him a call. Curbs with Jason as number two might give us an interesting season’s finale. Certainly lift the fans and would command respect from the players.
If Robinson goes before the end of the season (because he takes a job elsewhere, he won't be sacked) then we'll get Bowyer and Jackson until the end of the season.

Right now I'd take that. We are going nowhere with Robinson. Bowyer and Jackson would get valuable experience. What's not to like.
We are not going to get relegated or promoted so now is the time for change. Obviously, no permanent change until we have new owners, but who will sack KR, Murray can't, and RD is not interested, so we must assume there will be no change until we change ownership
In fairness to Robinson, he’s only been guilty of what most people (and I suspect most of us) would have done in desperate need of a job. He has had to try to try to strike a balance between toadying up to the owners and ingratiating himself with the fans whilst working under all the constraints that we are aware of. And then there are the injuries which have simply been unbelievable this season. And despite his verbal diahorea I think he’s probably a decent bloke. He gave us a modicum of hope at the start of the season and most in here will admit to having a period of getting carried away with our start. I know I did.
Where it has all gone tits up is that the challenge was quite simply bigger that KR imagined. He has enough ego to have thought that he might have cracked it and been a hero. His mortgage probably meant that like the rest of us he had little choice. But Duchatelet is a quite unprecedentedly awful nutcase. The club is indeed a basket case and, wait for it, KR has been found out as not a particularly good manager. Add in the fact that his verbal diary hi ho hey has become a source of annoyance rather than amusement and the facade has just tumbled. We are in the deepest of deep Joe Doodoo and a considerably better manager than KR would struggle. To add grist to the mill, his tactics have been easily sussed and our football is not the free flowing stuff of the first three or four games but turgid, slow paced crap. The players don’t give a shit and we should eschew the mock horror at that fact. They are being managed by a borderline incompetent and a gobby one at that, the cloob is rudderless, the customers are on their backs and summer is a coming in. I’d have given up the ghost too.
So I conclude, Robinson is not in fact the Messiah. He’s a moderately naughty boy and he won’t be here long one way or the other. But he’s not the problem. The problem lives in Belgium and until that boil is lanced we cannot even begin to imagine the long long road to recovery. Thanks for the memories Karl. In fairness to you, you cheered us up for a short period. But it’s time to go and pull the wool over a new set of eyes for a while.
Oh and btw Karl. I didn’t much appreciate you walking off with a big smirk on your chops yesterday. Just sayin.

Trying to make it work seems fair enough - it is just at what point do you say it isn't working and try something else. I know we have had two bad away results but I do think Robbo's system is ok away from home. It just puts pressure on us when we don't pick up enough points at home. Teams work harder to nullify us at home and you have to try something else. Having not only no natural goalscorer but also many players who score below the average for their positions poses a problem. I don't think that is Robbo's fault entirely. It's how this regime works - a few decent players but a small and imbalanced squad that seems to have more than its fair share of injury proneness.
I have seen Magennis isolated in games we have won. I don't want to see my main goal threat isolated at home. I think the way we have set up has destroyed his confidence.

I feel we're well past the point where he should have tried something else.
The other extreme is just as bad of course. I remember Les Reed out of desperation pretty much using a different formation every game. Then there was Pardew the following season with his huge squad, growing further with loanees regularly coming in. He had no idea what his best team was.
Agree on the lack of goalscorers in the squad. Magennis has suffered, he just isn't suited to being a lone striker.
Just see a post in a Facebook group (not by Ackworth etc.) that the club are getting ready to release a statement to confirm that Robbo has walked and that Harry fooking Kewell is coming in?
I know this is probably bs so don't shoot the messenger, I just thought I'd share it on here.....

My mate mentioned Harry Kewell taking over from Robinson as well, thought he was joking, maybe some truth in it then, he also said Germans were interested in buying club.
Kewell would be an obvious choice if The Aussie deal is going through.
He's got fond memories of the Valley scoring twice in the 6-1 demolition of us by Leeds 15 years ago to ease their relegation worries. Viduka hat trick and Ian Harte the other scorers with Jason Euell getting our consolation.
Crowd over 26k for that match so at least he knows what a near full house would look like .
The bookies have Robinson at evens favourite for the Oxford job, miles clear of the next name. However, the Oxford owner told the local press the new manager, to be announced on Tuesday, will have a "wow factor" with the fans - surely that rules out Robinson. Unless it's: "Wow! Can't we do better than him?"

He just hasn't helped himself with his tactical inflexibility and loose tongue.
The formation inflexibility means he is too loyal to an idea rather then winning matches.
The oppo will have us worked out weeks before we play each other.
