There are enough games left for qualification for the play-offs to be in our own hands. And we play Portsmouth shortly. Win that and that will open up a little gap between us.
At least Lee Bowyer can do the scouting for this one, from the comfort of his arm chair. Portsmouth bar Pitman not impressive.

So just hope Portsmouth don't nick a play-off place above us on goal difference.
Take your point. But .....
The next 2 games - Northampton (who haven't won for at least 5 games) and Rotherham (3 defeats in last 5 games) will surely show whether Saturday was a flash in the pan or a genuine improvement in form. If its the latter, we should win both and will be well set for the top 6.
Lose either of them and we will be crawling into the play-offs at best. The form team - even if it finishes 5th or 6th - often goes on to win the play-offs and I just see a couple of deeply disappointing days ahead if we only qualify through other teams blowing up.

We should just be happy Robinson has gone and we at least look like a team again. Playoffs would be a bonus.
Robinson blaming referee. Referee telling Oxford players that Thompson was booked in the 2nd half. He has a point as Thompson should have been booked & sent off. Oxford play well going forward but are poor defensively. Not a good start for Robinson.
Christ on a bike I've just had to play Tarbuck's post match interview back at 33rpm to understand what he was saying. Wish I hadn't though he is so full of crap. Thank you, thank you, thank you Oxford United for taking this chancer off our hands.

I can see it going down to the last match of the season - we are Charlton after all! Overall, our form is near bottom of the division. I reckon we are going to need a bit of luck from results of other teams. That having been said, the optimism from yesterday is worth a lot. I think we'll have a better idea after those fixtures you mention.
haven't seen the match but guess it was always going to be a tough start for Karl away to Pompey on tv. looked on the Oxford forum website when he was announced for them and they all sounded rather excited. reality is a bitch.
Just seen his after match interview...im really not going to miss listening to the shit excuses that come out of his mouth.so refreshing hearing bowyer so positive about us getting into the play offs.I think we will do it too .
