I'm not sure anything by Coldplay or U2 is considered 'great' but if it is I can honestly say if it's by Coldplay I hate it and if it's by U2 I probably hate it.
Hotel California. Anything else that's of the American West Coast rock style on someone's list of greats? I'm fairly certain I'll think it's appalling. Similarly, Africa by Toto and Baker Street by Gerry Rafferty.
Thriller and Billie Jean.
Seasons in the Sun
Streets of London. I taught his two eldest kids in the early '80s but it doesn't make me like this dirge.
Whilst I think Queen are mundane and tedious I can't hate Bohemian Rhapsody because of that scene in Wayne's World. However, that doesn't stop me thinking death is too good for whoever came up with "BoRap".
I think some of us are getting a little off topic and just airing our pet peeves. For example, there's no way every single by Abba or everything by The Beatles or Buble is considered 'great' other than perhaps by the most rabid fan of the artiste(s) in question.
Hallo by Adele, could it not be more depressing and anything by Celine Dione, Mariah Scarey, Beyoncé and Josh Groban all feature highly in my musical hell
If I could stick my pen in my heart And spill it all over the stage Would it satisfy ya, would it slide on by ya Would you think the boy is strange? Ain't he strange?
If I could win ya, if I could sing ya A love song so divine Would it be enough for your cheating heart If I broke down and cried? If I cried?
I said I know it's only rock 'n roll but I like it I know it's only rock 'n roll but I like it, like it, yes, I do Oh, well, I like it, I like it, I like it I said can't you see that this old boy has been a lonely?
If I could stick a knife in my heart Suicide right on the stage Would it be enough for your teenage lust Would it help to ease the pain? Ease your brain?
If I could dig down deep down in my heart Feelings would flood on the page Would it satisfy ya, would it slide on by ya Would ya think the boy's insane? He's insane
I said I know it's only rock 'n roll but I like it I said I know it's only rock 'n roll but I like it, like it, yes, I do Oh, well, I like it, yeah, I like it, I like it I said can't you see that this old boy has been a lonely?
And do ya think that you're the only girl around? I bet you think you're the only woman in town Oh, yeah

I'll say goodbye to love.....The Carpenters......the moment it comes on the radio (which seems to be surprisingly often), I have to stop whatever I'm doing and switch off pronto......poncifed dirge.
The thing that makes it worse as others have said is when that song is played and everyone else around you seems to have sort of climax and start screaming about how they love that song. Hold yourselves together ffs.
A personal hate of mine is that song that gets used on the m&s food advert. Don't know who it's by, came out last year or the year before. I remember it came on at a house party I was at and one of my mates went 'tune'. At that point he was no mate of mine.
That one really is one of those bland pop songs that gets really big and makes me angry
I like the BBC 1's live lounge albums, many songs I don't like, I love when rearranged by other artists. I would recommend checking them out on Itunes.

Love will tear us apart. Joy Division.
The first port of call for a music snob.
Dreadful.
For the record (excuse the pun) It was Phil Spector
Talentless dirge passed off as music by even less talented people, complete con of rock & roll swindle levels.

Plodding, mundane, dull and massively over-used

Wonderwall as someone has already said.
Some Might Say
And the main one - Roll with It. Utter shite - although most people probably accept that.
Oh and anything by Blur. Nothing to do with the supposed band rivalry.... I just never liked their music back in the day (other than Song 2).
Be here now was the 3rd right?
