At Wembley in both 2019 and 2025, when Sweet Caroline started to play that was the “Icing on the cake”.

Two great Play Off matches, Two Great Victories , and 35,000+ Charlton fans singing Sweet Caroline at the top of their voices in celebration. Life doesn’t get better.

Even today when I hear Sweet Caroline, I think of the two days at Wembley.

Sweet Caroline is a weird one. At its core its actually a good song but agree with OP that its been overplayed, however you mention when its actually yourself at Wembley, the Boxing etc (and you have had a beer or 5) and its comes on you are going to love it.

I think that if you put a whole artist’s work then you haven’t really understood the thread.

I don’t believe there to be any artist whose every song is ’supposed to be great.

Also, for groups you don’t like, have you really listened to every track, not just those you’ve heard on the radio?
