Embarrassing yet again. Jacko got a clap and I can only inagine it was because he is a legend and does things like he did for Kyle this week because his performance was no better than the others that got abuse. Robinson said 3 of the back 5 weren't there, Phillips kicking was poor but he didn't have a save to make so it can't be him, who was the other that turned up? konsa? We had nothing going forward and both Josh and Ade were useless. Why do we do it to ourselves year after year
Briefly looking at those highlights, Jackson might as well have been at home with me watching the game on Choice TV..... he'd have been closer to the play .
Awful. Millwall looked absolutely dreadful and somehow we managed to be worse. The defending was unforgivable, especially for the goals in the first half.
Really looking forward to the trips to MK and Southend....
Unlucky lads. Got to say I wasn't expecting that at all. Although I was buoyed when I saw our line up and saw Morison and Webster were starting. I backed 2-1 Millwall but more with my heart than my head. Anyway, not going to gloat. It's your site so that would be out of order. Would just like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and looking forward to the return fixture in the new year.
@MillwallFan Merry Christmas to you too. Thank you for always handling yourself with such class, dignity, and humility. In my mind, given what a strong member of the community you are this is your site as much as it is anyone else's.

Oh behave. That's taking things too far. Far too far.
That was appalling. Probably worse than Swindon. Heads went down and they showed no real fight. If you're not gonna make the ball, at least run like you f'ing want to make it.
Midfield too slow again. How many years has that been the case???!
Cannot understand the defence either. Were they ball watching? None of them seemed anywhere near the man when he scored. Are they thick, or were they told to not mark people?
So so shit compared to Bradford.
Can't sack Robinson though. The constant change needs to stop. Give him more time to build.
Surprising lack of anti regime chants tonight. Think people just saw the players being shit perhaps. Don't let people tell you the fans were negative.
However it looks like Karl doesn't know how to set up a defence. It was all over the place. No one had any idea who was tracking who for the goals....
I suspect you're really on to something here Canters. I obviously wasn't at the match so will be curious to hear what those who were think, but I wonder if our midfield is set up very poorly to track runners, particularly through the middle. Crofts and Jackson are pretty immobile, neither are brilliant "pure readers of the game" (a la a Michael Carrick type), we don't keep the ball enough or sit deep enough with organization to alleviate those shortcomings.
Worst thing is it really didn't bother me, even when we played them the last time in the Champ under Roland I was more into it but tonight I had absolutely 0 doubt what the result would be and feels like we have far bigger issues than losing to them.

He had Crofts playing in a more attacking role today which suited him better than it did against P'boro. Jacko was basically sitting infront of the defence.
As you say, we don't keep the ball enough for it to work and when we don't have the ball Crofts is caught out of position, wingers are nowhere to be seen because it doesn't look like they know what they're doing and full backs are out of position as most of the time Konsa is our only outlet.
I wonder if the first team have played the reserves and kids this week. Probably not as they didn't look like the knew how to change formation from defending to going forward. Roland needs to get a grip on this team and write Robinson some words of help and advice. Maybe our football mad CEO could also chip in with her vast in depth knowledge of football.

Konsa is not a right back and Fox is not good enough. Robinson was whistling instructions from the side. He knows what he wants in my opinion.
"It's not about a quick fix here. It really isn't. That will only come in time."
I thought Slade had done the hard work in sorting the background stuff out? - thats what Nugent said
Well Nugent certainly had them playing like the background stuff was sorted out...
Oh I forgot, "certain people were using the situation as an excuse" weren't they? Funny that, Karl, because if I didn't know better then I'd imagine that comment was aimed at someone a bit closer to home.
He's a chancer and not a very decent one, albeit quite a likable one if I'm honest. Simply put though, this isn't good enough. Nothing at this club is right now.
It's worth remembering that we got battered in Nugent's last game against Sheffield United. To be fair, Sheffield United are better than what we came up against and we did get a point, but it's also probably fair to say the downward trend started there.
Also, a sample size of 3 just isn't that reliable. We were awful at times under Slade, had a brief uptick under Nugent, and we've arguable reverted to type again under KR.

I wasn't at the game either but from the highlights and a combination of commentary and choices stream that's what it looked like to me. This is also the way it's come across in other games.
Obviously Pearce is a leader in the defense, and Rudds commanding if his back 4 may be brtter/have more authority than Phillips. These are factors but I think there's something else.
Slade was meticulous in setting up the team defensively. Everyone knew their role inside out. So much so that I think it stifled the team going forward. I think KR has come in and taken it too far in the opposite direction
Perhaps he saw our defensive record and didn't think it was an area that needed work.
You must be joking Robinson, they need a rollicking.
If Robinson doesn't tear the arse out of everyone including the kit man for embarrassing the travelling fans with what was obviously an unacceptable performance then he's not doing his job properly.

"Thanks for helping ruin stupid charlton fans Christmas"
The jokes on you Roland.
I no longer care enough for it to have any negative impact on my Christmas.
We are a fucking embarrassment

Disgusting, in every aspect, yet again.
We are bang in trouble.

Shape up or ship out.
