  • I didn't go to the game, but just a general comment. I notice every match KR likes to talk through the team, has this ever been done previously? Not that i will make a big difference to how bad were are but surely this invites other teams to know our game plan.

I'm guessing Katrien explained to him how the fans are not happy with the regime because they are not open and honest.

Karl has completely got hold of the wrong end of the stick

Just watched the goals and I hate to say it but the issue is clear... Prior to the match Millwall just quietly get on with matters, I went on their O/S and there was one interview about it being a local Derby and because of that their players wanted to win.

Just look at the goals; everyone scored just means so much to their players!!

Haven't seen passion from any player after a goal like that down the Valley for a long time

Crofts and KR gave very similar interviews.

I didn't go last night so I'm not going to comment on the match. We were destined to lose and I'm surprised anyone expected anything else. I'm not down. The regime have killed my passion for all things Charlton. Once they've gone, I'll be back

I understand that Robinson wants to play with more adventure than Slade but when you have a one paced side and no cohesion how can you achieve that when your players fitness and speed is so lacking.

I always like to hear Tutt-Tutt Views on Formations but we are so devoid of Athletes in our side that any team that show energy against us and moves the ball with a bit of pace with exploit the plodding nature of CAFC players.

Posh did last Saturday and the Spanners achieved the same last night.

Get fit soon Ricky Holmes, we are missing you big time.

The Millwall Forwards must of thought that it was Christmas(it is Sam !)
as Gregory, Onyedinma, Morison, and O’Brien found space like a tourist in Alaska.

Every time you think we have hit rock Bottom we fall further down, on and off the pitch.

If we don't hit our Nadir soon it could be terminal and the mock Funeral was just Prescient.

This sums up the ability of our team taken from the bogs before they were smashed up

At least they hit the post.....

All joking aside.......what kind of dirty scummy fucker does that?
  • The most disappointing thing about last night is how little I reacted when I checked the result. In seasons gone by any loss to those lot would've felt like a kick square in the balls and would've put me in a mood for the entire festive period but last night I just shrugged and felt nothing.

I know I'll get my mojo back the moment RD packs up his gaffer taped shoes and finally sods off but until then, there's no coming back from the dumbness I feel towards the club.

When did the scum last have a higher gate at The Toolbox than we did at The Valley for the reverse? Must be a while. Can't see us getting 14k for the game in January, although no doubt it'll be announced as a near sell-out.

Averaging just short of 9k this season. 2000+ away fans help bump the crowd up and then there's the extras who come out because it's a local derby. It's no ones cup final. It's just a local derby and that always adds a few thousand on the crowd as it should do.

I always thought there was an FA rule about divulging the squad before KO - anyway, he seemed to calm down before this game.. although just before the match he did say Crofts would play attacking midfield and get stuck in and all the guys were up for it - they'd been talking about it for weeks. Well, just goes to show: you can have bollocks in the form of pure lies from Meire, or you can have bollocks in the form of sheer bollocks from KR... Probably the only time I'd agree 100% with douchebag - get rid of KR before any more damage is done: no transfer window; nothing - he's just another regime muppet; and we'll get COL anyway before the season's finished, so why wait?

Have I read that right? You think we have a "gameplan"?

No chance whatsoever of 14,500 at The Valley. Official might get to 12k - actual unlikely to be much more than 10k.

I guess very few complimentaries will be issued for this game, so the announced gate might actually be a reasonable reflection of the actual for once.

3 of the back 5 are out - so what - you have experienced lge1 level cover for all those positions except for goalkeeper and Phillips has apparently been playing well so can't be blamed for the shambles in defence but you insist on playing an inexperienced young CB at RB where he is clearly uncomfortable

There's no team in League One that wouldn't be happy with a back four of Foley-Bauer-Teixeira-Chicksen. It's insane to complain that we're missing defenders. Phillips hasn't done anything wrong either, it's just excuses. After Fox clearly got rattled last week I would have started Chicksen at LB and you don't put a kid out of position in an away derby that you haven't won for 4 million years. Didn't Parky play Solly at LB there once? It's like we want to murder our youth products' spirit so they're easier to ship out

fuck the excuses were just not very good, and that smug prick robinson is increasingly annoying me.

Robinson talks like a dam bursting. He wants to say everything at once, and to do everything at once.

Like Duchatelet and Meire, Robinson would be better off shutting up, saying the minimum and doing the maximum.

Only 11 days until the Tom Rubashow show starts, and he has to spin the lies and failings into wondrous stuff.

I imagine the newcomers starting on January 2nd are decent enough people, but once reality kicks in, and Tony Keohane is squatting over the whole enterprise, they will have to consider their personal integrity verses the demands of this very nasty regime.

Unless Rubashow and Robinson consider their interviews, pronouncements and statements are for internal consumption only, then they are addressing the fans.

However the mood music is that fans are stupid, domme mensen, and ought to be treated with the contempt and distain which has been a dominant feature of this regime thus far, and deeply ingrained within the management culture.

Sue Perks says we are disgusting, Tony Keohane is cool about over the top policing and acts of assault on fans, Katrien Meire says we are a sexist and racist 2% and it is a war, Roland Duchatelet says we are stupid and protest for no reason. Sycophants shore up these beliefs and their behaviour, and are deliberately blind to the bleeding obvious that we are an embarrassing shambles.

I don't hate Karl Robinson, but pre match he talked about actions, well he is talking too much and doing too little at the moment, and as manager number eight what does he think will happen any differently?

So Tom Rubashow and your spinmeister boss what on earth are you going to spin from January 2nd? Are you here to basically polish the lies and destruction and keep your jobs, or are you people of integrity who can deal in the truth and therefore lose your jobs?

We still have Chris McLoughlin lurking around ready to pile in anyway Karl. You may well be forging a new relationship with the fellow, but pause and think, is it that every time he laughs and chats with you, is willing to do as you ask, inside his head he looks at you as the next undermined person whose job he will soon take.

Karl you have decided to trust Duchatelet, to believe midnight Katrien, and to accept McLoughlin, do you really know what you have gotten into?

Karl, you work for the club that hates it's fans.

    Brilliant post.

There tends to be a high ratio of non-attending ST holders for this fixture though. I would expect a quarter to be missing - particularly if we don't pick up a couple of wins before then.

Surprised if the game is on general sale in the first place. Never has been in the past. Recipe for chaos.

    Edit: it's not.

dont think a lot will bother with the home game, ill go down charlton for a beer before but atm would rather not be in the ground to watch 11 "players" melt. and watch a load of gypos celebrating in a game they dont care about even though will be there biggest away turn out of the season unless they get to wembley and let themselves down again.
