I can't say I enjoyed watching that interview. However if there is no more business to be done at least tex is staying which is a plus. The two elements of the video which I thought were not in harmony with each other were that for the rest of this season we go for it, yet the summer recruitment effort starts tomorrow. I hope the recruitment effort that starts tomorrow has two layers, if we go up, or if we stay in this poxy league. Tomorrow is about counting the bodies, sorting out the fitness, sorting out the play. And then winning nineteen successive matches.

Why is anyone surprised at yet another bizarre and questionable January transfer window for us?
What don't people get?
This is what he bought us for? Sell young talent for millions, keep the team afloat on the cheap, balance books, swap players amongst teams to keep things 'fresh', bring managers in that are happy to work on these terms, replace them if needs be....
This is it. This is Charlton. This is what we do. There is no takeover. There is no premier league or championship ambition.
For goodness sake it's been like this for years why do people think it's going to change all of a sudden?
It's kids, loans and journeymen. Get used to it and quickly please!
This. Charlton Alexandra. It's taken them three years to get there, but they are there now. The Lookman money will encourage them that the plan is starting to bear fruit. Anyone expecting to be supporting a club where the result at 5pm on a Saturday is the most important outcome of the week, forget it. That is not the modus operandi of this football club anymore. This football club is being run for the benefit of a small group of people and not the core support or the community.
I don't necessarily agree. We're still "30 odd million in debt." Last year's books will be interesting to see but I doubt we turned a profit, and I doubt we'll turn one even with the Lookman (and others) deals. If you think RD is getting rich or even breaking even then all financial reporting we've seen indicates quite the opposite. I think this is about ego, pure and simple.
What if someone comes in with a £2 million bid for Ba or Johnson. Are Charlton going to say "sorry we're done for this window, Chris had to get home for his tea"

Same old predictable bollocks zzzzz. His full of shit like Katrien and the rest of the muggy managers before. Pretty much all of them have missed out on the key signings to push us forward. Bull shit.
If you cant get the signing in's you certainly don't allow Ajose to go then that's for sure, the squad is thin enough as it is.
You know what, I've been his biggest critic and I don't particularly like the man yet, he's got a lot to prove, but you can tell from that he knows what he wants and what it's gonna take to get there, which is a lot more than the recent joeys we've had. My only draw back on that is that he knew what he was in for, the Belgian wankers record should have set alarm bells ringing but I'm begininning to think his eagerness and excitement clouded his judgement. and he took a big gamble that they might change. They clearly haven't and he now has to adapt to work with what he's got, but he's earnt a bit of respect from me. Long way to go, but it's a start especially if he gets it right like last Saturday.
Breaking news: Thomas Driesen's mum refused to give Thomas his pocket money after he failed to clean his room. This meant Thomas was unable to pay for the latest 2016/17 football manager update on his tablet. This then had a knock on effect as Karl Robinson didn't receive any recommendations for transfer deadline day and as such Charlton failed to secure any major signings.
In other news Cross Bars welcomes back DJ Dangerous Dave for this Saturday's home fixture against Fleetwood. Dangerous Dave will be one the ones and twos from 1.30 - 2.15pm this Saturday
He's the most dislikeable full-of-shit manager we've had since I've been a supporter (since end of Lawrence's time). And my god he has some competition.
How the hell people can't see through this guy - you can watch his brain trying to appease both supporters and his employees at the same time. It's absolutely embarrassing.
As to the window itself - who was expecting anything else? Duchatelet's CAFC = Groundhog Day.
I love the fact he's angry at not getting the players he wanted ! Sounds a little bit like we had the money but as Robbo said Charlton come calling and values go up and up! Same problem Curbs and Powell used to have!

It's same old shit for us but he's been taken in hook line and sinker. Can see it in his face.

Nicholas your very entertaining mate! Love your rants ! Your probably right though!
Wow, he is proper pissed off. I believe him that he had the funds and a love the type of team he is trying to put together. Roll on Saturday, looking forward to getting behind the team.
My guess would be he probably had a max of £250K & MKD wanted £500K.
It's an act people! He's been told to appear angry and frustrated and blame everyone else but CAFC. They pay his wage. He does what he's told.
He took the job knowing what he was getting himself into. He only had to look at previous January transfer windows to see how we did business. He bullshits as much as KM and RD.
Another shite transfer window tinged with a fake and well rehearsed 'frustrated' gloss. Ladies and gents, please don't be sucked in that this is anything else other than a two fingered salute to fans.

He was warned and he new exactly what he was coming into. 7-8 managers in a couple of years, all being mugged off with not enough resources, fans protesting etc, doesn't take a genius to work out what he was coming into. There is no way he can keep up his excited school girl routine for much longer. How long before it all grinds him down like it did to Slade, Peeters, Riga and all the other plums. There's so many other managers but I cant remember half of them anymore.

So which unfit, unattached players will arrive next week?
Plenty have taken the piss out of her on deals in the past and succeeded, so why wouldn't the next chairman try it when they have their turn?
