Have to ask, why did we let Nugent go?

Did we let him go or did he not want the job? He'd seen the writing on the wall
  • Yep, he had the sense to get out. As it stands Nugent was the highlight of the season!

He's clueless. Regardless of joke owners and CEO's, this bloke isn't up to it.
Who will be to blame in the Post match press conference today ?

You can be sure of one thing, he won't blame himself.

Probably blame the protestors in Belgium.
I honestly don't think he is that far away from turning on the protesting fans, he has sworn allegiance to Roland so can't complain about anything he is responsible for and also seems reluctant to blame himself.

    Because Roland knows best...
  • Ebbsfleet top of Conf South.

We could be one division apart next season.
  • The interview in midweek was akin to a white flag and total surrender on his part. He knows this situation is too big for his limited abilities. He was on a downward trajectory at Mk and it's carried on here. At least Slade gave us awful mid table drabness. Robinson takes it to new levels if dire. Busted Flush methinks.
  • Taxi Uber for Gobinson.. Uber will get him out of the building quicker than a taxi ...
  • Why was Tony Watt sending out childish tweets at 1pm today.

  • So many of those players out there today do not deserve to represent Charlton Athletic Football Club. There was nothing on offer after falling behind 1-2. They were actually worse than Tues night. As a fan, I'm truly ashamed of our players.
  • Seems to have lost the dressing room - too much gobbing off to the media I expect
  • I am a supporter of over 50 years. My enthusiasm has reduced considerably as RD and KM have ruined the club. The players know this is the apathy of most supporters. They are in a toxic situation. No matter how professional they should be they cannot escape the hopeless management and regime.
    RD and KM must go.

    What was he saying?

Bloody hell, I was there Tuesday and didn't think it could get much worse. No surprise when he publicly slags off his players every week. Pardew II.
  • Is this all really happening? Spiralling towards the old Division 4, our fans protesting in Belgium - this has to be a nightmare although I don't even think my warped subconscious could create this scenario

Interestingly, both tweets showing two players on their phones... the two players who have rumoured to have been using their phones to show off potential clubs before the previous match.

Can't help but wonder if Tony is trying to make a point with those tweets... and if he was, fair play to him. Any sign of disharmony or friction in the dressing room and everyone immediately looks towards him, we all did it after Karl's comments last week and it actually sounds like it had nothing to do with him.
Which tweets are these? Are you referring to the one when he wished protesting fans all the best?

  • So having played badly for three quarters of the game we find ourselves 2-1 down
    So what did we do?
Did we do what ever other team would do playing us? Roll up our sleeves and give it a right good go for an equaliser, or even a winner?
Did we bollocks. We rolled over and let them coast home for a routine home win
As they were resoundingly informed at the end "their not fit to wear the shirt"
If they can't be bothered don't fucking play*

  • Anyone know if Jimmy Tarbuck has given his press conference yet?

Or has he just scuttled off?

If Swindon hadn't conceded last minute to lose despite dominating then would be even close to bottom 3. And they've won 2 out of last 3 and should've won today. Ajose not in squad - any idea why?

In such freefall will be at mercy of others to stay up at this rate

    Bottom 4 isn't it! Don't 4 go up from league 2?

Nah, that was a cheeky CARD photoshop - the original was for the fans travelling to the match. https://twitter.com/tony_watt7

I meant these tweets - showing Bauer and Tex using their phones before the match:

  • Will provide detailed response tomorrow. KR is a pussy. Hid down the tunnel at the end of the game.

    He's utter franchise scum
  • I...I have nothing to say
  • Eh, surprising: "Charlton manager Karl Robinson says that he must take the blame for the club’s current run of results.".

    Take a bow, Karl.
  • 40% not bothered seems generous to me, that isn't a team in any shape or form, once again beaten by an ordinary but well organised side.
  • Utter drivel from KR this time. Ramblings about feet being stood on.
