Think you are right - but who really knows what's going on in the background...? Still cannot believe RD won't do a deal to stop losing £500k - £750k a month that might be ongoing until June. If he keeps the club until the summer he might as well offer a £2m discount now and save money! My personal belief is that he wants a deal on the potential income from previous player sales. This is based on what he is supposed to have done at Standard Liege. I mean if there are sell-on/appearance money clauses for Konza, Pope, Lookman, Gudmunsson and (especially) Gomez then there could potentially be millions 'at stake'. Agree she was naive and inexperienced, but I would think the contracts sales documents would have been drawn up by specialist lawyers and would have clauses, almost by default. I know we all love to hate Meire but find it hard to believe that Gomez at minimum didn't have a sell-on clauses and probably an appearance/England call-up clause...!Pedro45 said:
