Has May addressed what will happen to the NHS when EU staff leave and expat retirees return? Waiting lists and bed shortages are going to get a whole lot worse.
Has it been announced that that's what is going to happen?
Very interested in this news. Whack the link up as I'd be very interested in reading the announcement.
Thanks.
I think that is supposed to happen when May gets no deal (which is better than a bad deal so she says). The implication of no deal is the UK leaves and then the EU people leave, and the UK people return. Otherwise May could have announced that EU citizens could remain by now.
Theresa May is campaigning on Brexit but will not say whether EU nationals here now, can stay. Will not say if farming subsidies will continue to be paid and for how long. Will not say if fishing policies will change. Will not say at what level her Disability Tax will kick in to take people's houses. Will not say if EU employment laws will be upheld. Will not say how she will get immigration down to 10's of thousands. Her manifesto is largely uncosted apart from school breakfasts at 7p per child. I mean, REALLY?

Them 2 in those positions would be very bad.
They wouldn't fill be with confidence either - but May is better, do you think?
Even the tory grandees recognise her as a dim-witted, nasty character with, I have to say, not a single positive trait. That's why they won't allow her to answer any questions that she hasn't prepared for in advance - and even then it's the same old drivel of platitudes, meaningless rhetoric and repetitive slogans.
The country is well and truly fucked if the current crop of so-called leaders is the best we've got.

Tbh I'm only voting may/conservative because in my opinion she's the best of a very bad lot. The constant bitching and whining countrywide about brexit is a constant annoyance, if we have another vote and the People vote leave again will that be it, or will it be a constant string of elections until remain is voted In, as I may be mistaken but that's not a democracy, the little Englanders comment the poster hasn't commented on so unclear what he/she means. Some elements of labour I do like renationalising railways, looking after the elderly for example but then there's things I don't agree with free uni fees, defence budget cuts, the references that racial equality is a factor in the employment and education of people. So on that basis I add up the pros and cons and make my decision on that.

So you think the Tory manifesto offers you and your family a better prospect than the Labour one ?
If the answer is yes. I would love to know on what basis you make that decision because as far as I can tell the Tories have no plan at all. Certainly not one that they are prepared to share with the electorate.

yes bob i dont think there is ineqaulity in this country and to mention it is a bit silly, people aren't held back because they are Black/Asian or any other ethnic minority, which is apparently what the Tories have done according to Labour its a statement to get those voters on side.

its not discussing though is it, its bludgeoning people with smart comments and asking questions of them, seeing it a bit too much on this forum, theres a few posters in particular not going to really go into names because its an internet forum and i dont feel the need to single people out but i know who they are and all i can think of is i wonder if they would say it to my face - i doubt it.

Very broadly I think voting for the conservatives is voting for 'as is' bar a few changes like winter fuel, care costs etc. So I think those who generally vote conservative aren't overly bothered about their manifesto.
Voting labour is largely voting for a huge number of expensive promises which all sound wonderful but I view it as hugely unlikely that the money will be there to pay for it. So then what? If the tax rises don't raise the money they believe will taxes increase more? I suspect so and also at a much lower level.
It's also the quality of the people, corbyns key people are not fit for the jobs they are likely to have.
Just my view, I know others will have the polar opposite.
Whats so wrong with asking people why the manifesto works for them ? unfortunatley, we're at that point of the election where 'hes a ira sympathiser' isnt going to cut it any more

On the contrary, I have learned a lot from many posters on this very thread, from both sides of the argument, I have gone from believing to disbelieving the right wing press lies against Corbyn, (IRA/HAMAS/Immigration etc. (via links on this site) digging about and finding out the truth, it would appear from some posts that many haven't) to believing in an honest mans (Corbyns) vision for Britain. I want to live in the country that he describes. What I do find intriguing, is that many Tory supporters dont stand proud for what they think they believe in and then resolutely defend it, its almost like they are embarrassed when questioned over the Manifesto, for instance when asked about numbers or lack of in the Tory manifesto they just ignore the Q, so the say 'stop picking on us, stop probing and calling us out'. And also my friend, if we were discussing this over a beer I would say the same to your face, because its adult discussion.
Is it just me or do others whenever they look at this thread, the adverts are nearly always a lib dem ad?!
In costings there is no defence as such as in reality there aren't many/any. Maybe it's just me but over prior manifestos whatever party there wasn't full costings as such? It seems a new labour thing...... might be wrong here but don't recall them in the past.
Ps, on costings just because the numbers add up on a spreadsheet doesn't make them right.
I'm going to buy CAFC and we'll be in the premier league in 2-3 seasons. I'm going to do that by selling 27,000 tickets every home game at £200 a pop, I will sell 25,000 programmes a game at £5, 25,000 burgers at 7.50 and 175,000 drinks. We'll sell 400,000 replica shirts a season and get sponsorship to the tune of £20m a season.
That means I will have the money to build a squad not only capable of storming league 1 and the championship but also a top 10 premier team........ simples.
