We're just too slow at times to get this type of player.
  • 352M for 6 years is huge but still better value for money than Sarr for 6years at say 4-5M for us,

Candreva to Chelsea. Brilliant player. He's the one who crossed it to balotelli when we lost in the WC. Got an incredible right foot on him.

Quality player, perfect for Chelsea's system.

Benjamin Mendy has completed his £52m transfer from Monaco to Manchester City to become the world's most expensive defender

Surely that was Kyle Walker for £54m?

So City have spent just short of £100m on their full backs.

    Madness.

More than that - they signed Danilo from Real Madrid for £26.9m as well.

well 70 but yeah madness. Assume they will need another left-back aswell and think they might try Spurs again.
  • City now have the world's most expensive ever left back, centre back, right back and keeper!

and they still won't come anywhere near winning the UCL.

Not madness. Their defense was their weak point and now they might have the best in the PL. Winning a title is worth a lot more than £100M. It was a rational investment. For them. Obviously for a PL team like Palace it would be economically impossible.

Not sure who this player is but sounds like it could be a good signing for palace which is annoying.

  • West Ham complete the 16m signing of Hernandez. An absolute bargain in todays market.

They've now signed Hart, Zabaleta, Arnautovic and Hernandez for 36m. Shrewd signings.

Only issue is its not a very young bunch of signings there...

Hart (30) | Zabaleta (32) | Arnautovic (28) | Hernandez (29) - Plus Hart is only on loan so by next year and within a few years they'll have to do the rebuild all over again

Very similar to the Fulham strategy of 7/8 years ago.

Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount, 18, has signed a new four-year contract at Stamford Bridge before joining Vitesse on loan
Yet another of Chelsea's youngsters signs a new deal then goes out on loan. But will he ever get near the 1st team?

Typical Charlton fan... Writing a player off before you've even seen him play. ;)

Time to call on Kelly Youga and his connection with Karim Benzema

Bale should leave imo. He can't play in his favoured position as the greatest player in the world is there. They play him up front sometimes....and now there's a 180m kid in that position.

Although I still think it is a mad fee. I see this one as more justifiable than say the Kyle Walker fee. At least Mbappe has the potential to be of a Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar level. Kyle Walker isn't as good a RB you could sign for £20mil.

Bale must be off to Utd as that'll fund half of the Mbappe fee.
