I'm confused !!! Is this Carabao cup the new league cup. Previously known as 'rumbelows cup' 'milk cup' 'EFL cup' and many others? If so, what happened to the 'checkatrade thingy' and the Johnstone's paint wassname' ?

Yes this is the League Cup. The Checkatrade Trophy is still it's own separate thing which no one really gives a toss about

Same thing happened with Liverpool last season who requested an away match because of their new stand.
i get the 46 but where are the other 4 teams coming from?
70 matches in the first round so 35 go through plus 15 new teams makes 50. They must have just missed 4 teams out, no idea who
The 7 teams in European competitions enter in round 3. So round two is 35+15 as you mention. Round three is then the 25 winners plus premier league top 7 = 32.
