If Jimmy does nt get his leg over after all this , we need to shut this site down

Hopefully there will be updates. Or should that be up dates?

To be fair its unknown territory... We're not castle people, if Jimmy was asking for the best train journey to take his lady friend on then we'd be at fault for getting it wrong!!

Carcassonne in France, albeit a few miles away and in fact a 17th century walled Citie.

France!!!......he wants to shag her not marry her, he has already said Wales was too far.

However I agree fully with you Carcassonne is a beautiful example.
Off topic, but I agree re Carcassonne. That said, drive out a bit towards the Pyrenees and visit Quéribus and similar ruined Cathar castles. Simply stunning.

  • Although not strictly speaking a castle in the usual sense I would've thought Maiden Castle in Dorset appropriate:

Especially as it's only about 10 miles from this:

  • I always thought Jimmy was taller than that.
  • Berkeley Castle is a beauty.....though of course a long way from the SE.

Remember visiting as a kid and being fascinated by that skull they have on the table.
