Had to officially pull out of london 2025 yesterday due to my hernia, incredibly grateful to the charity for rolling over my space and the funds raised until 2026 ! looking forward to getting the op out of the way now and running again.1

Most round here were off. Think Market Harborough was still on, but for some reason, I couldn't be bothered with it.

I managed Brooklands this morning but the weather was poxy. Most of SW London was cancelled, Wimbledon seemed to think communication wasn’t a must but as that’s usually knee deep in mud anyway I went for an adventure instead. Enjoyed it but a bit more hard work than usual to which I can only blame the wind and the rain….1

Avery Hill and Bexley were on in the end, as were Victoria Dock and Southwark. I'm not sure I'd have bothered even if the others cancelled early enough for me to go!1

Thought I’d never run again, but the knee’s quite a lot better, and I’m doing the ‘couch to 5k’ thing. I’ve done the first five runs and feeling much better for it.17

Been poorly for a couple of days and should have cried it off but I’m on 37 for the year so I want to get to 40.
Got my slowest time at Battersea and feel rougher now but hey ho, 7-days to get better…5 -
Managed to shake off the worst of a cold at Thames Path, Woolwich - the rain stopped just in time, thankfully. My 50th of the year.London's 65th parkrun started today at Ingrebourne Hill, over the river in Rainham: https://www.parkrun.org.uk/ingrebournehill/ Course description: "This is quite a steep hill with steep inclines on the uphill section."7

That's my target. I'm on 47 after this morning, so I'd better not come down with something. Means running Xmas day, but I usually do at Market Harborough. Big miss not running last week meant I can't miss another, and I've had to alter Xmas plans, but it's this year or never for the 50.3 -
Another plod around Battersea today for my 39th of the year, really wanted to sack it off but really want to get 40 so I had to do it but didn’t enjoy it at all4

A plod around Charlton yesterday. Fairly muddy there, partly because the Sparkle in the Park festival a few weeks back churned part of the cricket field up.2
-
Moors Valley for me yesterday. Plenty of folks in Christmas attire, Santa's, elves etc. Even a few dogs festively dressed.
39th of the year for me and a cheeky event PB to boot.2 -
Rendlesham Forest this morning for my 40th and as I’ve volunteered a few times this year it’s also ticked me off on the whole Parkrun Obsessive challenge so yay.
Hope to finish on 41 runs at Battersea on Saturday in my Allan Simonsen hat.5 -
660 at Market Harborough this morning, including me. Ridiculous. Folk from Singapore and California the furthest tourists with a load of first timers too. I,'m on 49 for the year. 🤞 I make it out on Saturday.3

I'm most of the way through the C25K. Next week I'm off to Australia for 3 weeks so there's no way I can acclimatise to run outdoors. My mate lives near a gym so I plan to use a running machine. I haven't used one before. Any tips?0

Almost 3000 at bushy today, some great fancy dress also.4

A whopping 208 in Rendlesham but I think that was about double their average…2

370 at Hotham Park Bognor Regis today for Parkrun a great turnout.3

My first Parkrun for 6 weeks, good to start the weekend this way again. Enjoyed my run and my lad got his highest Top 10 finish so he was well chuffed.
Have managed 27 Parkruns this year, 26 of those with Jnr who did his first one in Feb. Other family members run with us too and it gives me great pleasure we do something positive and healthy together as a family.11 -
Lucky to get my 50 for the year as had planned to do Kettering, but that got cancelled at the last minute, so a mad dash to get to Corby, where they're a much hardier breed. Stayed upright in the mud. An excellent years progress!!!!
