  • They will drop a place regardless of the result which is nice.

Whatever happens, they will drop one place today.

Edit - sorry about the echo
  • Just noticed in both Mane incidents Cabaye can be seen waiving an imaginary card in the ref's face - both times.

I thought players got booked for doing that these days? Shows the type of player Cabaye is.

Should do but rarely seems to happen. Don't know why refs are reluctant to book players for it.
  • Depending on how their relegation rivals do today, Palace could be in some serious trouble, and life couldn't be any better.
  • Southampton in melt down. West Ham lead 2-0 already.
  • Hughes was a very poor choice, no surprise they've not improved.
  • Sadly, looking at the remaining fixtures of all the relegation candidates, I can't see Palace going down.
  • Swansea 2-0 down at Man U as well.
  • A great win for West Ham, if Soton had started better and got the first goal it could have become really interesting

Palace LOOK too good to go down, but do seem to concede late goals. Thankfully

  • Having watched the West ham game today, Southampton look in real trouble. They were pathetic and if it'd been 6 or 7 they couldn't have complained. Their run in is pretty tough too

West Brom and Southampton look doomed.

    Still one place left.

Come on palarse you know it makes sense
  • West Brom, Stoke, Southampton, Huddersfield are all woeful. West Ham, Brighton and Swansea not a lot better. Can’t see Palace going down but there is still hope for now. Zaha getting an injury for the rest of the season would certainly help.

Its over mate they only need a couple more wins.
Talking about it wil make it easier dont bottle it up
  • Saw this nifty chart today. Gives me hope they might still drop.

  • What worries me a bit is their relative ease of schedule... the easiest in the entire PL.

The problem is that Palace's recent poor run is due to playing lots of top teams, and now they have an easy run in and all their rivals will now be playing the top 6 clubs.

That win against Huddersfield a few weeks ago was crucial, the sort of game Huddersfield had to win. They would have been 7 points ahead of Palace if they had won it

  • Another way to look at it is Palace lost to the teams that should be beating them, no upsets this time round having thrown away leads v Man Utd and Liverpool.

If they still had the likes of Liverpool and Man Utd to play they could potentially still pick up unexpected bonus points, those bonus points are now gone, the points they have to get now are against teams in similar positions that they would need to win anyway and in some ways it puts a different kind of pressure on Palace to win the games they should be expected to win, but football doesn't always work like that either.
  • Next weekend they're away at Bournemouth, which is winnable but certainly not easy

  • They only need a win and for other results to go thier way and they climb about 4 places. Unfortunately they are surrounded by some absolute dross, hate to admit it but no chance of the drop for the surrey bastards this season.
  • Agree, the bottom three aren't doing much to help themselves.
  • Now West Brom have sacked Pardew they might not be the walkover on the last game of the season against Palarse that it could have been.

I wouldn't say no chance but I would be surprised if they finish below Stoke, Southampton and Huddersfield. I think it's two of those plus West Brom.
  • Just another example of them being the jammiest fuckers in English football.

To be this shit and still have half a dozen likely to be worse...

Did i say that i hated the mugs?

In West Brom, Pardew finally has managed a club where he had a lower win percentage than CAFC.
  • A management appointment for Southampton could see a quick turn around in performance...a la Lee Bowyer affect?
  • Unless Pards goes back to Southampton.
