When Bairstow bats like this, it does make you wonder whether they should take the gloves off him in Test cricket too and have him batting at 4 (with Root at 3 and Malan at 5) and bring Foakes in.3

I have a serious dislike for Jim Maxwell, but he has some good points about Bayliss (I like Rivs Clueliss nom ) , in that he should be 'managing' the team and dictating these sorts of things. Foakes should come in, and Bairstow bat in top 5 with Root at 3. Would make us look a lot stronger.1
