  • I so thought Smith was gone there. had a mini stress fit at my desk when it was overturned.

Two more here and we get in their heads.

    Smith is one of em!
  • If this isn't out I want Swann's head on a plate
  • Smith out lbw now. That one looked dodgier than the previous one that was overturned. 50-4.

    Still 5-1 down though

As the replays played for the lbw he was saying 'this is plumb' and 'Smith is out' - didnt even mention the thing that i was worried about - did it pitch outside leg? - and guess what !
  • Whilst these are English type conditions we do still have to bowl in the right areas take full advantage. Woakes, who has looked ordinary at times, has done so and now got the prize wickets of Smith and Warner (twice) out in this match.

You are aware they're already 260+ ahead aren't you?
Yeh but we've got two days to get them and all our batsmen have had the benefit of Boycott's Masterclass in how to "bat and bat". Actually, two days might not be long enough.
  • 53-4 off 26 at close

    A lead of 268
  • Am I right in saying that Australia have no reviews left in the innings but we still have both?

Sure but the amount of cricket I have watched this weekend I feel I have earnt the right to celebrate the small wins and periods where we actually look good.
Must admit, i shouted, and told Smith to feck off back to the pavilion.
  • I predict a 200+ run defeat

    Smith is over-rated.
Didnt he play for Kent one season and someone on here said they saw him bat and didnt think he would make it to first class cricket?
  • That was a dying Swann act. I can't stand him as a commentator or the South African Pieterson. But I would have them both back as players.

No. Australia have two left, England have one.

I would like to see them locked in the same room - for a year!

Never let it be said that you are a "half full" type of person Paddy.
Well, I'll either be right, or happy with our over-achievement!

Cant be, they lost at least 1 with Smith review

How is that? Australia lost both theirs reviewing Khawaja and Smith's wickets didn't they?

They didnt lose Khawajas because it was Umpires call, but obviously agree with Smith.

Of course, thanks TP for clarifying. When did we lose ours because I must have been out at the time?
  • doesn't matter if we avoid it or not, just delays the inevitable

Watching Aussie coverage. They seem utterly confused that our tail has wagged a bit. Think they expected the white flag to come out at 142-7.

Small victories. Avoid the follow on here and take some wickets under the lights.
Well I got it half right.

Thank god they didn't choose to put us back in.
  • The rules changed so that if it's an umpires call, you don't lose the review

England did a stupid review for a caught behind off Broad, when Broad wasn't interested
