What an atrocious game of football. Even by League 1 standards, it was exceptionally poor.
Fleetwood sat back and, after a mildly encouraging opening, we concentrated on passing the ball sideways and backwards, ensuring that all their players were in position before attempting something positive. The one exception to that was Fosu, through whom any and all positive play came (such as it was). Other than that, Magennis laboured in his usual isolated way, Marshall flattered to deceive and Reeves fannied around to no effect. The team is totally disjointed and static, with very little combination play.
The two substitutes made a bit of a difference when they came on and at least gave Fleetwood’s central defenders something to think about. There were a few decent touches from Zyro and Ajose at least made a few runs to try and show for the ball. That said, we nearly conceded in the latter stages and, in truth, Fleetwood had the two best chances of the game. Other than a few blocked shots, we created nothing and their goalie didn’t have a remotely meaningful save to make.
All in all, pretty dreadful stuff. I am losing patience with Foster-Caskey’s constant slowing down of the play and, whilst Joe Aribo did ok, I think he’d been more effective playing further forward. However, Robinson seems to have an aversion to playing Dijksteel in his proper position, so I doubt that we’ll see that.
We have far too many players going through the motions and the lack of heart and determination in the side is a very poor reflection on Robinson and his coaches, even allowing for the lamentable state of the club.
Play like that against Plymouth next week and we’ll certainly get beaten.
Listened on Valley Pass, once again sounded a bloody awful performance. Life is being sucked out of the club and then we get given lies about the attendance.....looking at the photos I would have said 5,000 max, what a pathetic club we have become, this is not going to change until we have owners(s) with ambition. Sadly I can only see it getting worse before it gets better....don't fancy our chances against Plymouth next week that's for sure. Are we expecting more club lies this coming week? Time for RD to wheel RM out again maybe? I'm so saddened at what we have become, and worried about where this will end.
Half tempted to buy a ticket in the home end for the rearranged game at Wimbledon. That way I can join with them and give KR grief for the whole match. The only thing stopping me is the fact I'd still have to watch us for another 90 minutes.
I think the BBC stats say it all, but down to a little interpretation. 58% possession (about right) 17 shots (yeah, if you include every ball that landed between the corner flags and row Z), 2 on target (if this includes passing to their keeper).
WE didn't manage to trouble their goalkeeper at any time throughout the game, despite the superior possession. Desperation is creeping galloping into the side. It's going to take a bit more guile and a lot more bottle to turn this mess around. I can't see it happening, but hope upon hope to be proved wrong.
There is hope that we could put a run together as the league is poor as you say, if this stupid manager goes, but hard to see how that can happen in the circumstances! Roland doesn't want to pay him off!
It also appears that Putin's mates may have taken over the security - my rucksack was searched either side of the turnstile; apparently I could have put something in it between the two searches.
The only good thing to come out of today was that I can see 442 working with Zyro as target man. He won headers, held the bal up ok, and can actually pass. No more pissing about passing between the back four and Amos, just Hoof_it_up_to_Zyro-y ffs. It looked to me like it might actually work, with a bit of practice. Seriously. Our season re-ignited!
Seriously? Credited you with more intelligence. Of course your comment could be veiled sarcasm in which case I apologise.
We do the same shit week in and week out and continually play the ball back to Amos. KR is blagging a living and should do one however our so called ‘professionals’ on the pitch need to have a good look at themselves as well.
Let’s drift into a mid table finish and start over next season.

Sarr isn't a left back. He cleared the ball well enough but he can't get forward. Not a fan but don't blame him today.
Everything and everyone sooooo slow.
That Robinson said two days he couldn't play two up top and then went and did it beggars belief. He talks so much tripe.
We looked just poor when Ajose and Zyro came on having been terrible before although don't think Magennis or Marshal deserved to be hooked.
A team devoid of confidence, ideas and spark led by a manager with no clue how to change that.
Jason Euell's Red and White Army.
PS Fleetwood could have nicked that game but were equally bad. They will be happier with a point but the draw doesn't really help either team.
I guestimate under 7k in the ground.

It is criminal how he's still in a job.
