His contract has been automatically extended so I doubt he is training with us, more likely to come in on a loan. Still not common for players under contract to go on trial at other clubs as far as I am aware. I mean what if they got injured in training and were ruled out for months?Redrobo said:

I had a brief chat with Ray Lewington in a restaurant before the MK game … he wasn't too forthcoming about his son's time with us but hinted that after so long with the Dons, a move might have been beneficial .. of course, it never came to anythingcafcfan1990 said:

According to some at Millwall, Martin should have been their number one last season. I take back my previous comment. If he joins, i think it will be as a number 1. IMHO4

The signs of a bad season are there, much like they were 10 years ago in 08/09 when we got relegated from the Champ.
Look at the injury problems we’ve had over the last four years. This squad has even less depth than any of those did.
I’ll feel better if we get a couple of signings in soon, or the takeover goes through.2 -
I think that Neil Harris is on record as saying that if one of his three goalies wants to go out on loan, that wouldn’t be an issue. He mentioned no names but with Amos and Archer there, Martin is most unlikely to get any meaningful game time.
If there is anything in these rumours and Martin comes to us, I’d much prefer Dillon Phillips to start the season as first choice, with Martin on the bench. Apart from being a very good goalkeeper, I think that Dillon has earned his chance over the last couple of years, plus he is actually our player. Whilst the loanee goalies over the past two seasons have served us well, why not give our homegrown player a chance to establish himself, especially one who’s never let us down ? If we don’t he’ll undoubtedly be off next summer.18
