Think this is the game ive least enjoyed in the whole World Cup, not even because it’s a particularly bad game. I just can’t wait for tonight to be over. Preferred when we came in to the completion with no expectation, everything has gone way too perfectly so far and that just doesn’t happen to England.2

For my own health I put the commentary on mute and listen to something else whilst watching the football whenever Lawrenson is on.0 -
Basically after VAR took a minute or two to work out the foul was outside the box and the red gave a freekick and not a penalty he lambasted it, for taking a small amount of time to get the correct decision.Sage said:What did he actually say?

Interesting that the ref was prepared to send the player off and give a pen though, compared to the Denmark one the other night - the challenges were quite similar in that both defenders were the wrong side and deliberately stopped the striker from taking the shot.
I know one was a pull and one was a trip but neither was a genuine attempt to play the ball. Seems to be that as long as you dangle a foot out it is automatically deemed an attempt to play the ball in refs eyes and therefore not a red.0
