I think the last time I watched a full Brazil match they were getting smashed 7-1 so I'll wait until 9pm to pass judgement on their chances!Chris_from_Sidcup said:Love the world cup, great game.
Looking forward to Brazil next, haven't seen anyone yet who i think will beat them.0 -
It'll be just our luck to have a brilliant tournament, winning all of our group games and the round of 16 match without a problem.
And then we get Brazil or Germany guaranteed in the quarter final.0 -
Looking forward to us having to score multiple own goals against Belgium to secure 2nd spot3

If you are going to be deserved world champions you should beat anyone.Callumcafc said:It'll be just our luck to have a brilliant tournament, winning all of our group games and the round of 16 match without a problem.

Hopefully we'll be relaxed and play for fun....forgo the usual psychological demons that seem to disable us at every tournament in the last 20 years3 -
Don't think there would be too many easy games whoever we played in the quarters, 'IF' we get that far.Callumcafc said:It'll be just our luck to have a brilliant tournament, winning all of our group games and the round of 16 match without a problem.

Fair points, you don't get to the quarter final if you don't deserve it to an extent. If we did get that far though, I know I'd rather play Mexico/Serbia/Switzerland over Brazil/Germany.0

Thing is you ain't going to get far in a world cup unless you beat a team like Germany Spain or Brazil - there is always going to be someone we would rather have avoided. We have the pace up front that would trouble Germany or Spain as much as Mexico did today, and we have a lethal finisher on top of that as well. My worry is the England defence always seems to has a major mistake in them as well.Callumcafc said:It'll be just our luck to have a brilliant tournament, winning all of our group games and the round of 16 match without a problem.

Germany in big trouble now. I know this is based on assumptions but assuming Sweden and Mexico both beat South Korea a draw for Sweden against Germany would mean a draw between Mexico and Sweden in the final game knocks Germany out.1

Well if there’s one thing no one can accuse you of Jessie, it’s being a glory hunter!JessieAddick said:Many of my 'mates' on social media 'support' Germany yet they only watch football every four years. I'm glad the team they 'support' got beaten, by the underdogs.
They can now all shut up.

Wright and Keane on the same panel - when an immovable force meets an unstoppable object!1

1998 winners = France = out at the group stage 2002
2006 winners = Italy = out at the group stage 2010
2010 winners = Spain = out at the group stage 2014
2014 winners = Germany = ???3 -
It's Harry KaneMcBobbin said:Just interviewed Southgate, and he said he's only one of four people to have played for and managed England. Who are the others? I'm guessing Hoddle and Keegan. Who else?

Roy Keane - biggest c*nt of the universe that can't get over himself.
Ian Wright - down to earth legend1 -
A thoroughly enjoyable game although Phil Neville was starting to drive me nuts with his constant inane drivel, especially in the tense final part of the game with Germany on the front foot.
His media coach needs to advise him that, as a co-commentator, his job description doesn’t require him to fill any few seconds of silence by telling us what we can see for ourselves or otherwise stating the bleedin’ obvious. Listening to Dowie on Friday afternoon’s low quality Ian v Morocco game was an unedifying experience but Neville almost made him look ok by comparison.
Heading off down the pub in a minute for Brazil v Switzerland - hoping that Sepp’s boys get a good seeing to.1 -
Very ponderous German performance, they’ll have to play much better to reach the later stages.
I’m sure they will improve though0 -
Not sure about Neymar's haircut!1

Question; I'm in a household where we are trying to put the little shits to be before the Brazil game. Its loud can't hear the TV.
Keane and GNev have history, are they taking digs at each other ?0 -
Ronaldo had a dodgy Barnet in 2002 and that worked out ok!Callumcafc said:Not sure about Neymar's haircut!

Coutinho......Tekkers.1

It's probably quite a false ranking as many often are, (Peru 11th, Tunisia 21st are good examples) but they've only had 1 defeat in 2 yearsManicmania said:Not sure how Switzerland have blagged their way to 6th in the world
