He was a keeper and Maradona about 4'3", if he'd have done his job and jumped properly then Maradona wouldn't have got anywhere near it anyway.
He probably wasn’t expecting the little f***** to slam dunk it in the net ffs. If his hand wasn’t there then that ball is getting punched away by Shilts followed by clothes lining that cheating scumbag and possibly ruining his facial features in the process.
We had two or three chances to kick the tubby little coke head off the ball well before he got anywhere near the goal. It was an a accumulation of failures to go in on him hard that cost us.
  • That was the other goal.
  • So it was. I expect I was pissed then. Or now. Or both.
  • Really interesting insight hearing about all of the players different backgrounds.
  • RE. The England - Just watching Southgate (Gareth, not Billy) on the box and think he's calming influence could be the key to taking us quite far this time. The players seem on a similar level an all

I agree. Southgate has impressed me more and more since he first came in. He doesn't have the fireworks etc but you only have to look at the Argentina manager the other night and his antics on the sidelines to see that those kind of histrionics are distracting and unhelpful for the team on the pitch.

This England team seems devoid of huge egos from the top down which is a dramatic change from ten years ago the only one I'd say is Alli but he is still young and I think the team around him is rubbing off on him at least as far as England is concerned so far.

Positive stuff so far lets just hope they don't revert to type and blow it when in a strong position it would be so typically England to end up 0-0 against Panama tomorrow and be going into the Belgium game needing a result to qualify.

Southgate seems far more suited to managing this young England than Allardyce, who's hardly known for bringing through young players, indeed he's probably better suited to international management than club management.

Some managers really thrive on the day to day challenges of a club, Southgate to me seems well suited for the broader role of international management, and getting involved with the wider football world.
  • Probably want a Belgium win to be fair
  • Proper penatly from Hazard. No messing around pick a spot and boom. Up hill battle now for Tunisia.
  • Tunisia take up where they left off on Monday. Fancy them to pick up a red card in this game

  • Looked outside the box to me

Yeah we want Belgium to win this and perhaps a de bruyne yellow card would be nice as well... Was 100% a pen for me, the player making the foul was outside the box but the player being fouled was inside it and that is the key thing that makes it a pen rather than free kick I think.
  • Think it was probably outside as well but it was so marginal that the angles weren't good enough to overturn it, thus right to stay with the on field decision IMO.
  • Tunisia losing it hahah. Karma hit them fast
  • Creating Tunisian tossers.

£@ck ‘em. They deserve all they get. Hope they lose 8-0

  • Tunisia look very very poor. Can see the wheels falling off big time here.
  • Haha goal Tunisia.

  • Wowsers.
  • Happy to deal with Belgium ourselves, certainly think we can beat them yet wouldnt be surprised if its a draw on Thursday

All this win does is confirm our progression if we can beat Panama ourselves

Although a goal back certainly makes it interesting today
  • why on earth would we want a belgium win?

we need to win the group in order to hopefully avoid Brazil in a potential QF.

I want england to go as far as we can! Then play the big countries inevitably late on.

    The later on, the better.
  • There are going to be goals galore in this one.
  • Cracking game and just what we want from an England perspective - plenty of hard tackles and Tunisia pushing Belgium as hard as possible

I think if we come second Brazil are on the other side of the draw providing they win their group

Germany could also be on the other side if Mexico win all 3, so second would be very favourable

A Belgium and England win this weekend will see both through, absolutely no reason we cant beat them ourselves as they're just another Premier League XI.

Doesnt matter if we win the Group or come second as we'll likely end up with Brazil or Germany in the Quarters
  • These Tunisians made of glass?

i guess. the only thing they could of done is maybe freeze framed it but that probably would of been beyond them to work out how to pause the replay.
  • Tunisia are the cuntiest team in the tournament
