England will have to win all three games to top the group now no way we are overturning that goal difference. I'm fine with that though.2

Could be a blessing in disguise if Brazil win Group E and Germany fail to win Group F.0 -
Even a draw for Belgium would've meant if we won against Panama, we were through. Only result that could've stopped that being the case tomorrow was a Tunisia win today.JaShea99 said:
No I haven’t forgotten that. I don’t want to go into Belgium ‘pretty much’ through, I want to go into Belgium through.Callumcafc said:
You forgetting that we have a game against Panama tomorrow as well? Win that and we're pretty much guaranteed to go through (unless Tunisia win this and their game against Panama and all the top teams end up on six points).JaShea99 said:Probably typical English pessimism but I can’t see us beating Belgium, so we definitely want Belgium to win today or we go into Thursday’s game needing something.

add to that Tunisia's goal difference is -4 at the moment and Panama's is -3 - certainly doesn't hurt us for qualification chances.Callumcafc said:

Lukaku off Fellani on why make a defensive sub0
-
Don't need to really try from here, do they? Best to get their goal threat off and rested for the more important games ahead.paulie8290 said:Lukaku off Fellani on why make a defensive sub
Was always going to be the case if they went three goals ahead.1 -
Germany are by no means guaranteed to qualify! A real pressure game for them tonight against Sweden who will be hard to beatCallumcafc said:

we have a job.
beat panama.
It will mean we should be garunteed last 16.
I would prefer belgium Tunisia to draw, but a belgium win is safer.0 -
It's silly to make predictions from here but given the way results have fallen... this could be England's possible route to the final...
Round of 16: Senegal or Japan
Quarter final: Mexico or Switzerland
Semi final: Spain, Uruguay or Croatia
Final: Brazil, Germany or France1 -

Understand that, just dont get bringing on Fellani, bring on Batshuayi and give him a chance uptopCallumcafc said:

based on these performances don't think you can rule them out of making the final as well.Callumcafc said:It's silly to make predictions from here but given the way results have fallen... this could be England's possible route to the final...

Either way, I'd much rather be in the half of the draw with Spain, Uruguay and Croatia rather than with Brazil, Germany, France, Belgium and Portugal!Manicmania said:

Yes, it’s a bit of a Mourinho defending a 1-0 lead tacticpaulie8290 said:

I thought keeper used his hands then0

Martinez has previous for playing a bit negatively, especially since he took over in Belgium so I wasn't surprised by the sub. Definitely see the benefit of bringing on your back up striker and trying to get him a goal against some weaker opposition.0

Did Duchatelet have a clause for every goal Batshuayi scores in the World cup ?Callumcafc said:Batshuayi looking like a Roland reject.

Belgium still arent the force that everyone thinks for me...
Cant forget their failure to beat Wales at Euro 2016 despite being under new Management
They're great going forward yet like England a better team will exploit their shaky Defensive0 -
Yeah thats what I meant; they lost to Wales @ Euro 2016 yet have been under new Management since that lossJessieAddick said:

And the player they've both struggled against the most in the PL over the mast 3-4 seasons?ForeverAddickted said:I know they've got Vertonghen and Alderweireld yet not over impressed with the Belgian defending!!
Jamie Vardy.
Southgate has to find a way to slot him in against Belgium. Play Kane in the no.10 role and push Vardy on.
But having said that, if we beat Panama tomorrow, we want to finish 2nd?
