80k a week according to sky. The fact he’s free and they only have to pay a small fee for compensation probably evens it out in all honesty, good signing for them.
Still bonkers money. Will end in tears one day. I had no idea Benteke was on £120k p/wk.....he's not that good either.
He’s worth 15-20 million in the current market. To get him on a free transfer on a three year deal has saved them 100k-130k a week. If they’ve had to pay over the odds wages wise to get him that’s something to consider.
Providing it doesn’t upset the dressing room with other players getting pissed off with wage structure etc I think it’s a good signing.
Strange signing, he's over 30 and i don't see how he fits their style of play at all. Thought they might have made a move to get Thiago back from Bayern instead.
Newcastle have signed striker Salomon Rondon from West Brom on a season-long loan, with Dwight Gayle heading to the Championship side on the same deal.

Dwight Gayle is a very good signing for the Championship, feel West Brom have got the better deal there.

Good deal all round imo, Rondon more suited for Premiership and will get more from him. Gayle scores for fun in the championship
The PL clubs all wanted the transfer window to close earlier, I guess it makes sense to have all the last minute panicking going on now instead of during the PL season!
Where it gets a bit awkward though is when we've moved the date forward, but other countries haven't. Even though the date to sell players to most European countries hasn't changed, clubs won't want to sell the likes of Hazard or Courtois after our deadline has passed as then they wouldn't be able to get a replacement, unless they buy replacements first...
Derby have just signed Martyn Waghorn from Ipswich for an eye watering £5m! The latter have then recycled £1.75m of that by signing Toto Nsiala and Jon Nolan from Shrewsbury.
I make that great business for Ipswich and good news for us too as Shrewsbury will be weaker when they face us on Saturday.

Still hope the pricks finish pointless though.

BBC says they want £670m for him
I think they just want the Champions League now. And if they win it they can probably afford to just buy him back in the future.
Not bad considering some transfer fees for England U20 players
Will certainly make our job easier next weekend with Nolan gone
A couple of years ago i'm not sure their entire club was even worth that.
So when all 3 are fit they have him, Heaton and Pope.
Pope wont want to waste this past year by sitting on a bench or in reserves.
Heaton is to good to be on the bench or in reserves
Hart wouldnt have left being citys 3rd choice to becone Burnleys 3rd choice

Pope
Heaton
Hart
with Pope getting around 60% of the votes.

As for Derby, what a waste of money!
Good news for whoever is playing Shrewsbury next
Ipswich have signed centre-back Toto Nsiala and midflieder Jon Nolan from Shrewsbury Town for a combined fee of £1.75m.
The 28-year-old striker signs for £5m on a three-year contract.
Bizarre.
