Played Les Pines and Les Dunes in Hardelot the weekend fantastic couple of days.
Les Pines was nice but I struggled but Les Dunes was far the better course and played quite well.
4 of us round trip on the le shuttle, one nights stay in le touquet 2 rounds came in at £1400.00 which i found quite reasonable considering the shuttle alone £250.00 round trip these days.0 -

I’m playing Hankley Common tomorrow with clients - my Boss cajoled me into playing, and having looked at the club’s website, it looks like a lovely course, however rather difficult
I don’t play very much at all now - last played in June last year - back in the day I got down to 12 handicap, but the wheels gradually fell off, and I stopped playing
I think the course I am playing tomorrow is not a good choice for first game of 2024 !!!0 -

Only downside, food was poor - mind you I always compare golf club food with Tandridge, where the food is spectacularly good0 - Sponsored links:

Played Bletchingley yesterday..course in good condition but my putting let me down on very fast greens .It's only on junction 6 of M25 so well worth a visit. Must admit I want to get back there to avenge my putting1

Had a few Rory moments myself today. Played the back 9 at North Foreland (considered the harder 9) in +4 , my best of the year then crossed back over to the first and melted (+12) equalling my worst of the year. The game of golf is an utter bastard but I love it6

Leo my grandson turned 13 last month and has just posted his first Youtube video playing a round with Sam Hutsby at Liphook. He shot 103 August 2023 on his first card and is now shooting low 70's. His mate had an iPhone and got him to shoot the video and it's not very good quality and the drone crashed soon after take off, so if you can give it a click to get him some views would be appreciated.

Most of all Leo comes across as such a lovely, confident young man and a great golfer. Love the putt for birdie on 18.
He has a new subscriber!

Took him to the playoff final which I thought might have worked but his Dad's from Brighton and takes him there when he can and I'm afraid he prefers watching Premier League football.0 -
He is pukka. Wish I'd have started at his age instead of 36.1

Royal Ashdown West Course pleasant enough a lot of dog walkers passing through without any care though.
The Old course looked very challenging would like to have a play.
Played the old ford club a fortnight ago and I believe the greens were the fastest I've ever played on superb but done little for the confidence0 -
Used to play Royal Ashdown quite often back in the day - usually on a Sunday where you could get 36 holes in if not too busy.
The West course layout was changed once the hotel shut down but looks like they've changed it back again. Loved the short par 3 16th and then the last couple of holes were tricky with ditches placed just where I wanted to land my ball !
Played the Old course once when the hotel shut down but can't remember too much about it.0 - Sponsored links:

Off down Weald of Kent again next week, enjoyed it when played there last year.Loving playing golf last few months which is the sure sign my game is imminently to fall apart :-)0
-
I played Milnerton in Cape Town last month so I've played golf on every continent now. Annoyingly the football season started late so I can't say the same for groundhopping. South Africans seem to love a meal after 9 holes, I can't blame them when it's 65p for chips and £2-3 a fry up.
The rain this week makes it feel like it'll be muddy, cross country golf around here until Spring2 -

I played Westerham yesterday in the Iggy Golf Day, in memory of Alan Igglesden and to raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity - fabulous day - I played wearing my red Charlton Castore zip up top - John Salako was playing, and gave me a bit of gip when we went past his group on one of the holes - got my own back at the dinner 😃4
-
Some more pics from yesterday’s Iggy Golf Day - other cricketers there includes Tuffers (who was rather pissed), Min Patel, Richard Ellison (lovely bloke and one of my favourite ever bowlers), Stevo

Played at Weald of Kent today. Conditions not too bad. Expected it to be a lot more boggy. No buggys so backs in bits now.1

A couple of weeks ago Jamie O'Hara turned up with a film crew from golfclubs4cash on the range at Pedham and offered those there a challenge - two shots and a nominated same club and distance for both efforts. Get within one yard (carry) of that distance and you received a £100 voucher. My son chose a 7 iron and a distance of 170 and landed it on 169 yards.

My son's effort is first up followed by some other successful and unsuccessful efforts:
