Late to bed, late to rise.....or something like that but after sharing 2 bottles of Prosecco with the lovely Marilyn whilst watching the spiffing Spitfires from our table overlooking the pitch, who's worrying !
What a great evening that was ....again !
Blakey & Heino nailed it - what a partnership - and as our lads walked back to the pavilion , the Lords' Taverner/Middx member at the next table declared that the match was won already. Lovely guy who is a life long Watford season ticket holder was a joy to talk with & clearly more than "just" a Middx supporter.
Once again, Kent demonstrated their expertise in the field with every one out there playing his part. And once again, the opposition batters declined to take a second run time after time, mindful of the speed & accuracy of the fielders. We also noticed this in the Essex match last Friday in addition to our batters' eagerness to turn a single into 2 runs - something the opposing lads declined to do....The confidence running through our team is so evident & long may it last.
So, a 100% record thus far and well deserved at that.
Sadly, our presence will be missed at Hove tonight & Beckenham on Sunday due to our weekend trip to Blackburn.
Has anyone had a refund for the game at the Oval due to the significantly reduced overs? Thought I read it would be automatic and take 2 days? Maybe it's been done and it takes a while to show by the card issue as they always say refunds take longer than debits (typical!)?

There was a result so no refund. Check out The Oval's website.

Five on the spin! Tough one tomorrow though but confidence should be high.
Ditto men of Kent and Kentish men.
