    Claydon gets another one!

ten Doeschate is the latest victim, Essex 84-6 still 69 runs away from home.

Just the four wickets needed now by the Mighty Kent ...

Jamie Porter flattens Matt Milnes' off stump to end the innings - but the plaudits go to Sam Cook, who sent down nine overs for career-best figures of 7-23, giving him 12-65 in the match.

To put Kent's innings into some sort of historical context, it's their lowest total since being all out for 32 against Hampshire in Southampton in 1952.

Sam Cook doesn't know much about history.

Blown it. Another 30 runs or so we would have had this.

There's still a Kentish pulse in this match ...

Mitch traps Harmer in front, Essex 141-7.

Pathetic batting from us. I thought it was a poor wicket, but it was just a Kentish surrender.

I believe my Brothers swapped their washed out tickets from last Friday for this next home game.
Imagine many other folk did the same ?
  • 2 great results tonight for the Spitfires.

Essex beat Sussex and Hants beat Middx.

Surely nothing can go wrong now.....
  • Looking forward to tomorrows game.

Four of us Addicks booked together, including 'The President' and German Addick- Marc.

The President persuaded Marc to watch his first game of cricket ☺️😳

Coerced by the threat of lots of beer-drinking.

Cant believe that Marc has been reading the rules/laws of cricket - written in German !

    Cmon Surrey.

We're meeting Marc outside the ground around 5.30 and will be sitting in our usual spot to the left of the cafe.

@killerjerrylee will be with us too so please come & say hello.
  • Marc told me the arrangements when we spoke over a beer in crossbars after the Forest game.
We agreed  to meet at the gates at  5.30.

    So will see you there.

I am travelling down from Sidcup by car so have to find  parking.

    Any recommendations ?
Can you park in the ground?
Would there be a long wait to get out?

Go to the Park and Ride and either walk or get a shuttle bus. £3 for a whole day's county cricket in May including bus fare.

    That's sounds like a plan.

We park in a residential area on the main road out of Canterbury approaching the ground.
  • Cheers guys.

DBD went for 16 in his last over.  He bats too slowly and isn't a good enough bowler.   I'm not sure he helps us on the run rate and when he stays in he doesn't score enough.
