Good game, great atmosphere, great result. Wycombe were better than I expected, but I'm not having any of this, they were unlucky, business. We were the better team, end of.
I can't help but think if we still had KAG that we would be the runaway fave to win the playoffs.
If we still had KAG I dont think there would be a four point gap... we'd maybe be already there in second
Not arguing but which games we haven't won since he left do you feel he would have won us?
Fleetwood / Southend / Doncaster definitely maybe even Blackpool - trouble was we didnt have someone who could get in behind (Fleetwood and Southend) like Grant could with his pace
@ Doncaster we bossed those first 15-20mins and were crying out for someone with Grant's form this season to put it away
I thought Aribo would play much better behind the front two, but I was a bit disappointed with him tonight. Made one very bad decision not to play Taylor in. Back to central midfield for Saturday.
I am a bit worried I am starting to agree with @PragueAddick far to often.
It's smelling like 1998, there were 5 teams better than the rest, we finished 4th, could have gone up on the last day. A keeper who wasn't first choice at the start of the season keeping clean sheet after clean sheet, a goal scoring center forward who we pipped Sunderland to sign in the summer!
On the Sarr v Pearce debate, I would imagine it will be Pearce and dijksteal or Sarr and Solly until the play offs. We lack 2 things, a good target man and a leader that is 1st choice.

If he wasn’t leaving he might have scored that pen against peterborough, so that’s an extra two points. And then any other game that we haven’t won, he might have made the difference. But it’s all hypothetical now. All we can do is focus on the last 5 games and do what we keep doing

If he wasn’t leaving he might have scored that pen against peterborough, so that’s an extra two points. We struggled to create anything against blackpool, fleetwood and bristol rovers, whereas with him we could have found that break through we desperately needed, so that could be as much as an extra
To be honest I still dont think the miss against Peterborough had anything to do with him leaving

From some of the comments sounds like Igor played well. Could be crucial if he can add a goal or 2 between now and the end of the season. Well done boys. Got to keep going for 2nd until its mathematically impossible
Didnt stop running all night, twice got through on goal so maybe should have scored but really tormented them
Its a shame he doesnt have his pace from when he joined as he would have been even more lethal tonight - Back to full fitness in my opinion and justified his start
Didn't watch the game tonight, but sounds similar to his performance on Saturday, probably a bit better. Small improvements every game, and the big difference, for me, now compared to his numerous previous 'comebacks' for us is that he is getting into the right areas and chances are coming is way. Previously he's often looked anonymous, but is more and more involved, now, with each game he plays. Hope he takes one or two chances soon to reward his effort get fit and spur him on further.
Lee Bowyer picked a side to grind out a result, it just about worked, well done. To beat Luton we will need the flair players back. Bowyer is a good manager and knows that. I will be amazed if Sarr, Williams, Bielik, Solly and Reeves don't come back into the side for Luton. Reeves maybe from the bench for Williams after 70 minutes
We appear to have a manager who knows the game and selects the team based on the bigger picture I.e.not on sentiment but who we are playing and who is doing their job and what’s next. Proper management.

The injuries over Christmas (particularly Aribo) and Taylor's 3 games suspension and short drought right afterwards were just as damaging. In particular the injuries contributed to us dropping points vs Barnsley and Sunderland.
As you say, it definitely isn't over yet though. Funny things can happen at the business end of the season, and psychologically I think is easier to be the hunter than the hunted. Barnsley are wobbling. Sunderland dropped points tonight and have a fixture pile up to contend with. All we can do now is try and win all our games. Pompey will, of course, be thinking exactly the same thing. If we can somehow get a result vs Luton, and I do believe we're good enough to, then that really will send a message to the teams ahead of us.
We're fifth favourites because we're fifth, but our points are all on the board, and we're the form team. If we can't dare to dream at a time like this, then what is the point of being a football fan?
Not our best performance by any means but, as they say, we got the job done. Another clean sheet, three points and back on the bus.
The midfield dominance and control we have had in most recent games was absent and the absence of Beliek and Williams was keenly felt, albeit that Lapslie got himself around the pitch very effectively. Joe Aribo carried our main threat offensively but we missed his clever play and ability to keep possession in tight areas in more central, deeper areas.
On the plus side, we defended very well and had to do so, as Wycombe had a lot of territory and possession in the second half. Dillon Phillips had another very good game and is developing an aura of real dominance. Rather like Peter Schmeichel, you feel that, if someone had the temerity to score against him, he would take it very personally.
A great result and, whatever the technical shortcomings, no one can argue with our game management. This is a tough and streetwise team.
Good result as we jostle for play off positions . For a few days at least we can dream of autos but that wont happen but it's nice to dream e-i-e-i-e-i-o

Fantastic defending.
Great support.
Lovely ground and a good pitch.
A battling performance with the defence just about holding out. Phillips looking very sound in goal.

Simples.
Taking that as a sign
Pearcey; get working on those deflections with your arse again!!
I don’t see that run ending this week.
Buzzing for Saturday.
