  • Panicked this morning as the tickets were literally disappearing with every click. Just grabbed 4 in the first block I clicked on that had 4 in the same row.

So I’m now in block 551 which is high up and no doubt next to the away fans

Very central and a bit more atmosphere. What"s not to like?
  • Feels like there are still about 4k missing not yet released for sale? The rest of tier 2? The posh seats?
Wembley holds 90,000, but Charlton & The Mackems got 75,000.
So who gets the 15,000 ?
  • I expect plenty to be floating around at the end of the week, with people double booking for friends

Well when you put it like that 😀

RTG are saying we've asked for more tickets.

    What is RTG?

Just got ours, the queue was surprisingly short...about 5 minutes just 400 in front of me. Got 2 in area 543 row 5 so up in the gods but we are in! Booked on a train from Hastings to Gatwick.....off to Jersey for a chill out few days before the big weekend.
There were over 7800 in the queue at 9 o'clock this morning.
I don't know for sure but I'm fairly confident that the club (or more likely their ticketing system provider) are using a third party that specialises in issueing tickets eg Ticketmaster.  Hence the very effective queing system which would have to manage ALL customers to ALL of the events that they have currently available.  So position 7800 does not just refer to CAFC customers eg it could include Sunderland supporters if they are using the same ticketing provider.
If that were the case why would we not be allowed to access the system until exactly 9am? Normally you can booked tickets 24/7 for other events.
  • One thing is certain, whatever issues people had this week, it sure beats standing in the west stand car park for about 8 hours like 1998.
I get your point but at least then you are talking to a real person when you get to the window and tickets don't show as available only then not to be. I think back then that it was possible to get three seats together when supposedly only 14000 of 37000 had been sold. Thanks to this system I am going with my 8 and 11 year old boys in a family block and we're not sitting together.

And this is someone who logged on at 8am on two separate devices on two different accounts.
  • as someone who logged on 3 times after 12pm for differing mobs i got 3,  4 and 5 tickets together for different people , jimmy melrose you chose to sit in a block that was already near to full up .

if you went to a kiosk and said can i have 3 separate tickets in the same block that is the same as what you've done

That's not the case. If I went to a kiosk, of course I wouldn't request tickets that way.

The only place with 3 tickets together was in the back half of the upper tier. Sure, I made that choice not to go for these, but there's no way that I insisted on the block I got. I was just looking for 3 tickets together anywhere in the middle and bottom tiers. Three or four times I put three tickets together from other blocks in my basket only for it to then be refused. I was doing this for half an hour with seats disappearing before my eyes until I settled for the ones I got.

I have never experienced such difficulty booking tickets online. The system is rather clunky in my opinion. If what you say is true then there were tickets available for you that were not available to me, clear and simple, I'm not making this up.

By the way, I logged into two different accounts yesterday evening to put us down as friends / family and one account gave me error messages that the other didn't. How do you explain that then?

I imagine a number of these are wheelchair/carer seats

The corporate elite and the upper classes.
Well good luck shifting 15k to them for the 3rd division play offs.

They surely would want to release more if the demand is there?

They are - about 130 of them.

    Spurs supporting mates.
  • There's a single ticket left in 137 which I'd love to buy for a mate as we're in that block but it won't let me buy it as have to buy a junior one too but it is literally the only ticket left in the whole block bar a few wheelchair ones

The lower tiers were mainly singles by this morning i thought , hence i went for the upper tiers where i could get the groups together .

I'm sorry you had a problem , in the busier areas I did find i was trying to click on to wheelchair spaces by mistake at one stage over the weekend!

37 now including one row of 10 seats

You can go straight in too, no wait at all

If they don't sell the wheelchair tickets, I'd recommend borrowing a wheelchair from the red cross and getting tickets that way ;-)

(Not actually condoning this by the way in case there's a few snowflakes on here)

Come on Addickted those numers come from attendence at Selhurst and The Valley.

But if we sell out by tonight that just shows what someone has missed out on.

Presumably because the eligibility criteria and the day and time they come into operation are controlled by the club.
