I don't usually comment on marks, and with all due respect, but anybody that doesn't understand the impact Parker had on our victory yesterday are giving away their lack of knowledge of football.

Referee; 5 Far too lenient with the Black Cats' hatchet men who should have been carded much earlier and then reduced to 10, 9, 8 men  >:)

  • Phillips: 7.5 Stepped up after the error and kept us in it with a fine save.
Dijksteel: 8 Improved so much this season, beautiful touch to set up Taylor's assist.
Bauer: 8.5 London is a great place to bring up a child Patrick, you know it makes sense! Oh, and the goal...!!
Sarr: 7 Has been brilliant this season but after the booking it was right to bring him off.
Purrington: 8.5  Immediately brought balance to the back four when signed and has continually improved. Had a very good game.
Bielik:8.5 Mature beyond his years and had a cracking game both at the back and in midfield.
Cullen: 8 Not sure about the set pieces but last minute cross made up for that. Otherwise superb. Will be a real statement of intent for the new owners to sign him permanently.
Aribo: 7.5 Heavily marked yesterday but involved in both goals. His quality makes such a difference.
Pratley: 8 Very good game, played exactly the game Lee Bowyer wanted from him.
Taylor: 8  Brilliant assist, our talisman, pity the first half shot wasn't a foot lower!
Parker: 7.5 Shame his goal bound flick was saved, would have loved his efforts to have been rewarded with a goal.
Pearce 8 Warrior, gave them nothing (apart from the bruises).
Williams: 8.5 Made such a difference, what a threat! Sunderland defence were shit scared of him.

Referee: 7 Could've carded Sunderland players earlier but right now don't really care about him as should be with the ref.

Bowyer 10 Got it spot on. He just seems to know what to change, when to do it and then gets the players to implement it. The set up and subs were spot on yesterday.

  • Phillips: 6- Great save and played absolutely fine but only after a horrendous mistake
Dijksteel: 8.5- very good going forward, defensively and played big part in first goal
Bauer: 9- 94th minute winner at wembley to get us promoted, simply can't be any lower
Sarr: 6- bad back pass and nearly gave away a pen. Been class this season but disappointing in playoffs
Purrington: 8.5- got better and better since signing for us. hope he can sign permanently.
Bielik: 9- another top performance from a top player who you can tell it meant a lot too.
Cullen: 9- simply fantastic once again, my POTS. such a shame we've seen the last of him
Aribo: 8- played a part in both goals, such a talented player with a amazing future ahead
Pratley: 8- did the ugly stuff brilliantly, very good performance
Taylor: 7.5- not one of his best days but worked hard and got fantastic assist
Parker: 7- played his part, better than i first thought
Pearce: 8- bringing on a leader like him was a stroke of genius from bows
Williams: 8.5- made such a difference, another perfectly timed sub from bows
Referee: 6- inconsistent bookings and too many soft free kicks from corners, other than that did the job fine
  • Phillips: 4 Suspect others would have marked similarly had we lost . He gave an easy goal away . Do not understand the 7's and 8's
Dijksteel: 7 Effective looked the part
Bauer: 10 A great goal makes it a perfect 10
Sarr: 6 Unlucky with the OG and was probably subbed because he was on a yellow
    Purrington: 8 Excellent goal
    Bielik: 9 Superb
Cullen: 9 Excellent contribution to the winner
Aribo: 7 kept things ticking over
Pratley: 8 Best game for us . He has been outstanding in the paly offs

Phillips: - 6.5 Sorry, must be marked down for what was clearly 90% his error.

Dijksteel: - 8 Oh dear, Solls. Performances like this really do put your future regular starts at risk!

Bauer: - 7.5 Extra 0.5 for that marvellous timely, beautiful goal! However, I do not think he is effective as the spare centre back in a 3.

Sarr: - 6 Has to take some responsibility for the goal, but most blame has to go to Dillon. However, Nabby is a player who seems inordinately affected by confidence. So, correctly hooked off at HT.

Purrington: - 8 Extra +1 for the goal! Thus making him Bow's "7 out of 10" player!

Bielik: - 7 Much better second half when moved into midfield.

Cullen: - 9 MOTM Proper midfield general. Delicious cross for the winner. Never seems to tire.

Aribo: - 6 Just not been the same player in the last few weeks. Still very young, so maybe just tiredness. Peripheral, but telling contributions for both goals.

Pratley: - 8 Absolutely the right choice for the game. In American sports teams have many captains. Darren was captain of the midfield. Dealt with the twat who was doing "keepy uppys" by lumping him one. Watch his reaction after the equaliser. Pulled Aribo out of scrum, and made "think!" gestures to him. And in all of the "Twist and Shout" videos shown, who is ALWAYS Dillon's main back up? Darren Pratley. Glad we have him for another year. His experience will be invaluable next season.

Taylor: - 7 Another tireless performance by the talisman. The volley that went just over in the first half would have been one of the best goals at the new Wembley. Another assist to his growing collection.

Parker: - 7 I'm going to stick up for Josh here. His strengths, and one of them is his strength, are with his back to goal. Will run through a wall for the team, as a proper team man. Yes, we need another striker, but wouldn't be disappointed if Josh got an extension to his contract.

Pearce: - 7.5 We needed a leader at the back, and we got one. Does exactly what it says on the tin.

Williams: - 9 If he had been on longer on the pitch, would probably have been MOTM. Absolute game changer with his dynamic running.

A word for Bowyer. The last 2 games he has had to be brave. Against Doncaster, Morgan looked like a rabbit in the headlights: hooked at half time. Final, although Sarr hadn't been that bad, the formation wasn't working, and Sarr's confidence looked shot. Hook him, and change formation. It takes a brave manager to make those decisions, and to do it while so inexperienced is doubly impressive.

  • Phillips:  7.5. Nervy start but showed balls for the save shortly after
Dijksteel: 7.5 proper modern day full back. Does the hard yards
Bauer: 8.5 Solid. Took a bit of a gamble at the end and F.ing hell did it pay dividends
Sarr: 6 struggled early on but slowly got into it. Made a couple of crunchers
Purrington: 8 As Dijksteel but what a goal
Bielik: 9. This boy is silk and think we'll struggle to keep hold of him. Rarely puts a foot wrong. Rolls Royce in a Cortina garage.
Cullen: 8.5 Drove us forward numerous times. Hope we keep him
Aribo: 7 quiet by his standards but had a hand in both goals
Pratley: 7 Solid. Good bit of experience. Calmed them all down after the initial panic
Taylor: 7.5 Think he'll always find scoring hard with Parker as his partner. Did some good stuff though. Very clever at times
Parker: 7 Worker. Lacks quality on the ball. Well. until the last 5 mins. Some lovely balls out wide and clever for the free kick
Pearce: 7 Solid and a better partner for Paddy
Williams: 8.5 superb cameo. I can only imagine Bowyer told him to get on and create merry hell. Delivered in spades!

  • Phillips - 6.5 . Really bad error but coped well with everything afterwards

Djiksteel- 7 - didn’t get forward too much but solid and committed tackling on the left winger

Sarr - 6 - out of sorts and a dodgy back pass . The right decision to sub him when on a yellow card although the ref was very lenient with their fouling

Bauer -8.5 - heroics at end and kept Wyke very quiet

Purrington -8- good match and has steadily improved throughout season. Good anticipation for goal

Bielik - 8 - a bit wasted in a back three in first half but controlled midfield after that

Cullen - 8.5 - dominant in first half and was the real spark through which so much happened in the match . Thought that he might have cramped up towards the end as he worked so hard but fortunately not and great cross for goal

Aribo -7- some classy touches including flick for first goal but drifted in and out of the game

Pratley -7.5- covered acres and got in some great blocks and tackles . Worked very hard .

Parker -8- ran all day and also worked very hard unlucky not to score but did a good job of working channels and pulling their defence around

Taylor -7- not his day but kept them occupied . Should have hit target with volley and good cross for first goal

Pearce - 7 - just what was needed to calm the defence and almost popped up with a winner

    Williams - 8.5 - inspired substitute . Made a massive difference running at a tiring defence .

Referee - 7- got most decisions right but should have been stricter on their players

  • Phillips: 7 - 1 great save and 1 lack of concentration (not helped by Sarr)
Dijksteel: 7.5 - helped build up towards first goal, got forward well
Bauer:     8.5 - great in defence and scored the winner
Sarr:      6 - howler, plus clumsy defending - maybe the occasion got to him
Purrington:  7.5 - great first goal and very steady defending
    Bielik:   8 - Excellent performance
Cullen: 7.5 - a few loose passes, quality player and perfect cross for winner
Aribo:   7.5 - part of build up for excellent first goal and always looking to go forward
Pratley: 7.5 - bit of grit and experience in the middle helped hold things together
Taylor:  8 - great energy, tracking back and perfect cross for the first goal
Parker:  7 - won the free kick in build up to winner, works hard
Pearce:  8 - Made a great difference, Sunderland attack got barely a sniff 2nd half
Williams: 8 - Really made the difference and
Referee: 7 - could have carded lots of Sunderland players before he did but in the end made no bad game changing decisions. Played advantage rule well.

Lee Bowyer 10 - Great tactics - used the squad perfectly and the tactical shift start of second half and substitutions were spot on. Great manager. Spot on statements before and after the game. Amazing what he, Johnnie Jackson and Steve Avory have achieved.

Crowd - 10/10 Brilliant turn out, noise and energy.

    Dijksteel: 7
    Bauer: 9 - big f****ing German with a big f***ing performance.
Sarr: 5 - shouldn’t have back passed then and once he had a yellow was a liability. Subbing him off kept 11 men on.
